Episode 511

TODAY’S READING

What we have received is not the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

1 Corinthians 2:12

The Holy Spirit is one of my favorite parts of our faith. Because we do believe in our God, the three-part Father, Son, and Spirit, like we talked about on Friday. And I wanted to stay in this moment of talking about the Spirit because it is a vital part of our faith. How he is equal to God the Father equal to God the Son of equal as he has got the Spirit and so what he stands for is much greater than what we can comprehend at times. And I think that the magnitude of who God is the magnitude of a father who created himself in the flesh. His Son Jesus sent him to die across for us; sometimes, it just goes right over our heads. And then beyond that, this same Father, the same loving Father who spared his Son for us, then sends us His Spirit to not only communicate with us but to protect us to guide us to convict us to persuade us in a positive manner. Someone who guides us every single day.

It is such a testament to his goodness. It is such a relief to know that we have someone in our corner, not just because he is the creator of all things but because he truly cares for us because He loves us because he knows the numbers of hairs on our heads because he knows what we’re thinking he knows what we are going through. He knows the pain that we endure. And he is the strength that makes us bigger. He is the strength that gets us through our days. And so he sent us his spirits that we have access to the unlimited power, as we spoke about last week, but beyond that, so we have access direct access to him. And so God He has given it to us it says in this verse For we have received a spirit and it is not from the world. So it’s not the Spirit of the world. If you ever look at what’s going on in the world and you think that your beliefs align, there might be something wrong because we are not of this world. I am so thankful for a guy who has given us the ability to have His Spirit personally ministered to our hearts. And I know that if we allow him to do so, if we allow him the space to minister in our lives, we will not only see the change in our day today, but we will see the change and the people around us.

And so, I am praying and believing for a beautiful Monday. I am praying that the Holy Spirit continues to guide us protect us and speak to us, and minister to us. Should we be open to that?

Prayer

Father, God, will open our hearts. Lord, thank You for pouring into us. Thank you for directing us. Thank you for guiding us. Thank you for having a line of communication in which we can speak directly to you. Lord, thank you for the gift of eternity, for the chance to spend eternity with You. Lord, we thank you for your Son, and we thank you for your Spirit. We thank you that you saw reach us in all of the ways necessary to get to our hearts, and so we give our hearts freely over to you. We thank you that you did not give us a spirit of this world, but you gave us a spirit from you. So that we know what you have given us so freely. We thank you for all of the gifts; we thank you for all the blessings; we ask that you place your hand upon our lives. And it is any your name and in the Holy Spirit that we pray. Amen.
