Episode 516

TODAY’S READING:

And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately, he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

Mark 10:52

We are looking at Jesus demand the blind man to go on his way once he has been healed. And I know this is an amazing verse when we are looking for faith. It says your faith has made you well. It’s a huge part of being Christian.

Faith is what we hope for. It believes it’s been done without seeing it.

That is what happened with this man.

However, I want to focus on something else from this verse. I want to focus on our choice to follow Jesus.

It says “go on your way,” but rather than going on his way, it says “followed him on his way.”

So this man, rather than going back to his old way of life, continued the journey of following Jesus after he was healed.

Our choice in life is after he moves in our life, we have to continue to follow him. We can’t be the kind of people who only follows when things are good. Or when we need him. We need to be consistent.

We have to be following when it’s good and also when it’s bad.

PRAYER

Father God, we thank you for the faith that you bring up inside of us. Lord, we ask that we are the kind of people who follow you no matter our circumstances. May we never go back to how it was in the past. We look to you, eyes on the future. We ask that you bless this beautiful day. AMEN!
