TODAY’S READING:

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I was watching clone wars, and every opening credit has a quote. Yesterday’s episode said, “To love is to trust. To trust is to believe”.

So powerful when you think about the love we have for God.

Naturally, we love him. We have all had encounters that have changed our lives. He provides, he supports us, and he gives us strength and breath.

But what flourishes from our love is trust. He is the same yesterday, today tomorrow.

What comes from the trust is the best part. We believe him at his word.

The world says, “how could you put your faith in Jesus?”

Our answer is simple. We love him because of what he has done and given us even when we didn’t deserve it. We love him, so we trust him. Trust that no matter what we face, it is for our good. But most importantly, we believe Him. We believe that he was who he said he was. We believe Him at his word. We believe he is alive today and working on our behalf. We believe that what we ask in prayer, we have already received it.

PRAYER

Father God, we thank you that it’s so easy to believe you at your word, LordLord because it’s so easy to trust you. You are the only constantly good thing in our lives, and we are forever thankful for it. Bless us today, LordLord, bless us every day. We thank you, love you, and trust you; therefore, we believe that all we have prayed for is already ours. Bless today and every day. We love you, AMEN!
