TODAY’S READING

For through wisdom, your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. 

Proverbs 9:11

What I love about this verse is that God speaks to us through wisdom. And we could be people who live to 100 years old or people that only have you know so many years on this earth. The Lord speaks to us and gives us many years, many years of wisdom no matter our physical age. And so today and every day, I pray that we ask for more wisdom. We ask that our days be many; we ask that he gives us more years of life. We ask that he continues to strengthen us. 

He continues to give us joy, and He gives us the will to celebrate life. I know that it is so easy to get wrapped up in all of the negative things that happen around us every single day. Something on the news can bring us down. But the reality is that Jesus celebrates you every day. He looks at you; He loves you. He celebrates all of your accomplishments. Big and small. And if you would start to do that for yourself, I know that you’re going to have a joyous life, a better life because of it. 

We thank You, Lord, for this beautiful Thursday. We thank you for the wisdom that you have given us. 

Prayer

Father God, thank You. Thank You that You strengthen us. Thank you that you protect us. Thank you. Thank you give us joy. The Lord, Most importantly, thank you that our days are long because of the wisdom that you pour in. And thank you that our lives will be long because of the years you add; Lord, today we celebrate you and all you have done in our lives. Whether our birthday is today or our birthdays in six months, or if it just passed, Lord, we give you every year, today and tomorrow and for the years to come. They’re all for you, Lord; we surrender it all to you. We thank you for leading the way every single day. We thank you for the blessings that you give us. And we ask that you protect us and those we love the most. It is in your holy name that we pray today and every day. Amen.
