TODAY’S READING

I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8

The Lord is my strength. He is my courage like I said yesterday, and I am beyond thankful for a life with Christ at the center of it. I know that my testimony speaks to that the power that we have. When we surround ourselves or make Christ the center of our lives, I will keep my eyes on the Lord with him and my right hand; I will not be shaken. Those words say so much more than we can imagine. And I know that when you look at your life, and you look at all that you’ve been through, you look at how God came in and turned it around for you. He gave you a home; he gave you love that you never thought that you were capable of receiving; he gave you a place to call home that you never knew that you needed. It gave you safety in his arms. He gave you the ability to cry and to feel your emotions while also not allowing them to overrun he’ll. I keep my eyes on the Lord with him in my right hand. I will not be shaken; that is a verse that I’m going to hold on to today. And I know that you will too. But it is something that I want to always lean on. It’s a psalm that I think is powerful. 

Something that can shake up the atmosphere, especially when we feel like we are not enough, when we feel like we are hurting, when we feel like we are being mistreated or abandoned or when all of those negative emotions like fear can come into our lives and wreak havoc. I know we can look at our Lord and remind ourselves that he sits at our right hand. He is the center of our lives. His power runs through our veins; He dwells inside of us. His Spirit lives within our souls. He is the one and only God. He is the Creator of all things, and we will never be shaken; we can’t be shaken because the unshakeable is within us. The unmovable, the unchanging of all, he is never changing. He was the same yesterday as today as he will be tomorrow. So the Lord is good. 

He is our great Savior. He is everything that we’ve ever needed. He is all that we’ve ever wanted. And he is there for you. He is there for me. And he is there for all of us when we need him the most. And honestly, when we think that we don’t need him. The reality is that we do need him all the time. So we thank you, Jesus, and we ask for your mercies today. We ask for your hand over our lives.

Prayer

Father God, we love you. We thank you for this Wednesday. We thank You that You are the center of our lives. We are never shaken because you, the unshakable, the unmovable, the unchangeable, live within us, Lord; we know that you are the way, the only way, and we thank you for guiding our steps for directing us for pointing us in the right direction and Lord for keeping us safe. We thank you for everything that you do in our lives. We thank you for everything that you are to us. We pray this all in your holy name, today and every day. Amen
