TODAY’S READING
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.
John 8:12

Yesterday I saw something that sparked my attention, and it said to be why someone has a good day. But I thought beyond that, why couldn’t we be the reason that someone believed in Jesus, someone who had never seen him? No one had someone who had never felt him. Someone who doesn’t know who Jesus is, could we be the reason that that person met the Lord? And I wholly believe that that is something that we can do. We can carry the light with us, and people will start to ask and wonder why we live the way we do. Why do we have the freedom that we have? Why do we experience the joy that we experience? Why do we have the things that we have, the blessings that we have? And when we go through trials and tribulations? How can we go through with a smile on our face knowing that God is in charge? And when we have blessing upon blessing? How is it that we that don’t deserve these blessings continue to be blessed with so much and so I think that by walking with Christ at the center of our lives, allowing Him to lead us, allowing him to bless us, allowing him to be our strength, to be our joy and grief to be our partner in life? When we do that.

We allow other people to learn more about Jesus, so be the reason why someone today asks, Why is it that you have so much faith in Jesus be the reason why someone says, hey, can I learn a little bit more about your beliefs and why it is that you love everybody so much? Why is it that you have such a forgiving and graceful attitude with life? If we did that, we could impact more people than we could ever imagine more people by just simply being the hands and feet of Jesus by simply allowing Jesus to shine through us, and so this verse says He is the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

So let us follow Jesus with our full hearts. So much so that we will have the light of life, and that light will ignite a spark in someone else, and we will be the reason why someone needs Jesus today.

Prayer:
Father God has sent us, Lord, send us to that person that you’ve been trying to reach. Let our smile or joy or grace and all of the blessings in our lives be a reminder that they need you and that they need to meet you. Lord, we are just the messenger. We are your hands and feet. Use our eyes, use our hands. Use our words and let us impact the people that you love so much. You love them, so we love them. We ask that you bless this beautiful Thursday, and it is in your holy name that we pray. Amen.
