For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
Hebrews 3:4

If you had siblings, I watched my little sister love that shows. And she also loved Handy Manny, and I find it funny because I married a Manny and if you are new here I got married about a month ago, but we’re having a wedding with our friends and family in December but we are married, and we are living together in our home as we continue to build that, and I call him my Handy Manny because we have little projects that we’re starting and putting together and this week we just finished the guest bathroom. We’re going to go into our bathroom next, and it’s been such a fun time just building a home. But as I look at this house and I think about the walls that are up and the floors that have been put in and the vision that is coming to life, I see how many people have come together to build this house. And it has been many days and many projects, and the owners prior to us spent a lot of time building the shell of the house that we live in today. They put in a brand new kitchen, and they put in a beautiful pool, and so many people have come to build this house. But our home is so much more than just walls and a kitchen and a living room with a TV. God is the true builder of all things. Without him building my life, without him at the center of our life.

There would have been no way that this blessing would have opened in front of us. God has been building this home for long before I could have ever imagined; the story of my testimony in this house is that in December of 2017, Manny first approached me; he came to talk to me, and at the same time, that same day, I blew him off because my mind was somewhere else like a best friend was marrying the love of her life the next day and so I was busy. And so the next day, my friends got married, and then in February, they bought a house, and Manny and I officially started dating. This was January February; around the same time, in January February, they purchased their home. Now the crazy part is over the next four years, Manny and I built our relationship, and grace and Alex built their house. They ended up getting pregnant during the pandemic with twins, and they outgrew the home, and now, or you know, a couple of months ago, they were thinking about upgrading their house and getting a bigger home, and so they offered us the house. So what this testimony proves is that although they were building a house, and now well, now we are building a home, God is the builder of all things.

He is the one that is orchestrating behind closed doors not only for my life but for yours. And so you may be in a season where you feel stuck, or you feel like he’s not there. Or you may feel like you are in a position where nothing is happening. And can I tell you that something’s happening? You have no idea what he’s doing behind closed doors; you have no idea what he has orchestrated for you four years down the road. I would have never imagined the day that Manny first approached me that my friends were about to buy a home three months later, and I would have never imagined that That home was going to end up being the house and Manny and I were going to settle into and make our home. So God has a good God. He is constantly working. He is constantly building, and he is building for you. So just today, as we go about your day, trust in his plan. He has a plan for you. The Bible says it before you were in your mother’s womb. I knew the plans that I have for you, says the Lord. So she’s got you. You feel like you’re alone and not; you feel like your spouse is never coming, and he is, or she is, and you feel like that career is never gonna happen. And it is, and you may think that that dream is just a far-fetched dream, but it’s not. It’s something that he’s working on with you.

Prayer:
Father God, we love you. We thank you, and we honor you today and every day. We ask that you give us strength in the waiting seasons. We ask that you give us the clarity that you are building, Lord, You are God the builder, you are building our life, you are building our dreams, you are building our careers, you are building our spouses, and you are making a way when we see no way we thank you in advance for always having our best interests at heart. We love you. We trust you. And we pray this all in your mighty Son’s name. Amen.
