13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”
1 Peter 3:13-14
Nothing and it says even if you should suffer for righteousness sake. So even if you would suffer for what is good, do not fear because you are still blessed. And what I have written today is that there is nothing nothing in this world that we can be scared of. That we can fear because we know that we are after what is good; we know that we live a life that is pleasing to God and where we don’t where mess up. We bring that to Jesus, and we say, Lord, help us with this that we’re struggling with. Help us with this addiction; help us with whatever the case may be. We have that relationship with Christ where he comes in, and he does give us the strength to overcome whatever strongholds or bondage may be tying us down. More than that, when we seek love, when we seek peace, when we seek joy, we get to see the goodness of God come over our lives.
We see him firsthand, perform miracles in our lives, turn around relationships, and give us blessings that we never thought possible. And it’s all because we seek and we are zealous for what is good. So my prayer for today and every day is that we continue to drive after a life that is good, that is righteous, one that is a walking testimony of the goodness of Christ so that others may be inclined to get to know him for themselves.
Father God, we thank You, Lord, for this beautiful Tuesday. God, we thank you for all of the blessings in our lives. We thank you that we are zealous for what is good; we are after a life of love after a life of joy and peace. Lord, we want to see your goodness in every aspect of our lives. And we know that when we seek those, first and foremost, all those that worry us, all else that we’re praying for will be added to our lives. We know that you have us in the palm of your hand. Lord, we know that you continue to bless us day in and day out. So God, watch over us this beautiful Tuesday. Thank you for the opportunity to come together in your holy name to prepare ourselves for the day ahead of us. We love you so much, and it is in your son’s holy name that we pray. Amen.
