6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Matthew 6:6

Yesterday we talked about the power of meditation, the power of repeatedly praying day in, day out, minute in, minute out, 24/7, repeating and muttering the Word of God that is meditating on the Word of God. That is, in essence, a form of prayer. It’s powerful. It continues to keep this book of life at the forefront of our thinking. Now beyond that, we can have the confidence to go to him and ask because it says but when you pray, close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen than your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you that part there is talking about the blessing that comes after the prayer.

We need to be confident that we can close the door and talk to him just one-on-one, and whatever we’re praying for, we believe that he will answer those prayers with Amen and us. He can come and meet us where we’re at. He can wipe our tears; he can give us strength; he can give us health. He can give us prosperity, and he sees us. He just wants us to continue to keep him at the center of our lives. And so, like we said yesterday, meditate on the Word of the Lord. And as we’re saying today, continue to keep prayer as the most powerful tool in your toolbox.

Keep a conversation with the Lord in private and see what he will reward you with. We don’t have to tell everybody everything that’s going on in our lives. Yes, there is always a time when you need to extend or ask for prayer requests. 100% I’m always open for our prayer requests; you know that you can always message me with one. But at the same time, you need to understand the power you have to close the door in your room to close the door in your car and speak to him one on one and the power of having those conversations with him and how it continues to have an impact, in your life beyond what people can see.

Prayer:
Father God, we thank You, Lord, that we can have personal relationships with you, God, we continue to put you at the forefront of our thinking at the forefront of our days, or we give you everything of our lives. We surrender it all to you, and Lord, we are going to make it a routine, Lord, that every day we find time alone to talk to you. Whether that’s after this show after this, listening after our worship song on the way to work whenever it is right before bed where it won’t wake up, let us devote time to just speaking to you alone behind closed doors in private so that you can continue to speak into our lives. Deposit wisdom through the Spirit and lead us into a beautiful and blessed day in and day out. We surrendered this day to you. We thank you for absolutely everything, and it is in your son’s holy name that we pray. Amen.
