TODAY’S READING
But all things should be done decently and in order.
1 Corinthians 14:40
This past weekend, I went to The Container Store, and we were walking around looking for small things. I needed a new laundry bin and a new Silikal mat to bake on, and nothing crazy, but going through those aisles makes me want to spend just an absurd amount of money to organize my closets and pantry different cabinets. I didn’t. I withstood the temptation to spend an unnecessary amount of money, but at the same time, it’s a goal of mine to do because organization brings order to everything. And the same can be said in our spiritual life. What happens when we organize is that we can put all of our different seasonings in one specific area. We can put all of our pasta in our Rice we can label, and it’s easy for us to look at To, view, and restock when necessary. The same thing can be said in our closets. We can fold our shirts a certain way, and everything becomes visual for us. At that point, we’re able to look at what’s out of order and fix it quickly rather than allowing it to escape from us. So how that translates to our spiritual life is very simple. If we can put our life, take a moment to take some time today to bring up a piece of paper, pen, and journal and speak with the Lord about all the areas in your spiritual life that you need help with. Put a little bubble that says relationships put another bubble that says finances but one that says health spiritually, physically, and emotionally, but one that says passion and hobbies and the calling of the Lord and looks at the different areas of your life and organizes them organize your thoughts in those different segments and then see what’s out of order. visually look at what you can improve, and then go back to the Word of God and seek His help and wisdom to help you realign in those different areas. If you are financially not doing well, go into Malikai and read the power behind the time. Maybe you need to get plugged into a church and trust him with your finances. If you are not aligned in your relationships or what kind of seed are you putting in the ground? Go back to the Word of God and look at how Jesus was a disciple of small groups. He was always with his 12, and that means that maybe you need to look at the smallest group of your life who was pouring into your life and who you are spending the most time with. And what kind of fruit is being produced from those relationships? If your issue is with health, then surrender your health to the Lord.
Look for the strength and willpower, and self-control that he gives us to say no to foods that are bad for us and to say yes to moving our bodies. There are so many different wisdom nuggets and pieces of information that you can take with you. Suppose you organize your spiritual life. Put them into little buckets as if you would like any cabinetry in your pantry, and then look at them visually to see where you need the help of the Lord and ask him for it. Because when you ask him, he answers, and when you knock, the door opens, and God is good. At the end of the day. He has always been, he will always be, so you have the strength to do this assignment, this project, whatever you want to call it. Maybe you can say that spiritual; you’re doing fine. But maybe then you want to hold on to this for one day that you’re not. But if you’re anything like me, you need constant reminders to go back and visually look at your life and see what areas you can ask him for more help in and if that’s not the case like I said, then still do this. And then praise him for every single pocket. Every single piece of the organization. Praise Him for your finances. Praise Him for your health. Praise Him for the relationships that you have in your life.
Praise Him for absolutely everything that He has given to you because it is through praise and worship that we see the magnitude of the blessing in our lives, and we appreciate them that much more.
Prayer:
Father God, we thank you, Lord, we thank you that all things in our lives are done decently and in order. God, if there is anything that is out of line if there’s anything that we need extra strength in, if there’s anything that we need your wisdom for the word we asked for today. And God, if we are pretty much squared away with all of our organization, if we have our life rolling, where we want it to be, the Lord would give You all the praise God. And the chances are that there’s always something that you can help us improve on because every day we want to be more and more like you. And so Lord, we give you the praise. We give you the glory. We give you the things we ask for your strength, we ask for your wisdom, and we ask that you continue to lead us each and every day. May we make you the absolute center of our lives, the rock of our lives, the unmovable unchanging truth that we build our life on. We thank you. We love you. We organize this all into your son’s Mighty Name. Amen.
