TODAY’S READING

This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink, and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.

Ecclesiastes 5:18

There is nothing more beautiful than understanding God’s true desire for us. He wants us to live beautiful lives. He wants us to dance and rejoice. He wants us to laugh and cry from laughing so hard. He wants us to celebrate the little things and the big things; he wants us to live because he brought us to Earth for a time such as this. We have time allotted, and we know that our days are numbered. We know we don’t get to be here for 1000s of years. 

We have maybe 100 If we are lucky. But when we are here, we get the opportunity to either live life to the fullest or to be angry and bitter all of the time. We have the opportunity to surrender all that we cannot control and enjoy everything that we can control, which is how we react to the things around us. We’ve been talking a lot about where we put our thoughts, goals, and our lives and I hope that we are a community that understands that we can choose to live in joy. We can choose to enjoy our lives, and we can choose to love the life that we’ve been given. No matter how hard it is at times. No matter how low the valley may be at times. We have the power to love our lives. If we take anything away today, May we live life and not just live it to live it. May we love to live in.

Prayer:

Father God, we thank You, Lord, for this beautiful Monday. We thank you for the opportunity of life, Lord; we thank You that we get to wake up every day and enjoy the day that you have prepared for us. We thank you for the communities that you have surrounded us with. We thank you for those that are in our lives, Lord, and those that have taught us and molded us and shaped us and brought us closer to you, Lord; we thank You that we get to celebrate the big moments and the little moments. We thank you that we get to do this all in your mighty name. And we thank you that you want us to live a good life; you want us to be people who celebrate that II and drink and find satisfaction in our labor. Lord, we ask that you continue to bless us on this beautiful Monday and that we ask that you continue to bless us for the rest of this week. And all of the weeks to come. May we look for your fingerprints in our lives. It is in your son’s holy name that we pray today and every day. Amen.
