TODAY’S READING

1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place 

throughout all generations.

2 Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world,

from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

Psalm 90:1-2

There is weight in that, and I think you’ve been, and I know that normally I go straight into the soap method. So we are doing a scripture observation application prayer for just one moment. Just thank you, God, that you are the everlasting to everlasting God. He has been the Lord way before the Mountains were formed, and he will continue to be Lord overall way after the mountains are brought to dust. And that speaks volumes about who he is and what position he holds in this universe. And it puts perspective that our life is just but a blip in the timeline of the life of all of eternity. And yet our father wants a relationship with us. 

He is the God of everlasting. We cannot fathom how much time that is. We cannot fathom how many souls have walked this planet and will walk this planet long after we’re gone. And yet he wants a personal relationship with us. Sometimes I think about that; if I think too much about I, just it’s just so so crazy to me. And it’s just his goodness, guys. It’s something so holy, something so personal, something so magical. Something so beautiful. And so wherever you are today, God wants a relationship with you. Wherever you are today. God wants to deepen his relationship with you. You might say, Oh, I’ve known the Lord all my life, but he wants to go deeper. He wants to know you more. He wants you to know him more. So let me take that back. He knows you backward and forwards. He knows everything about you. But he wants your relationship to deepen because he wants you to know Him more, and that is a blessing in itself.

Prayer:

You are the Lord of everything of all things; you are everlasting to everlasting. You reign over everything in this universe. God, you saw us; you saw us before you created the mountains. You saw me before you created this earth. And yet you chose to make me; you chose to send your son for me. You chose to continue to pursue my heart Lord; you choose, you actively choose to let me go deeper in my relationship with you that we thank you. That is every person under the sound of my voice. That is all of our stories. You continue to chase after us. You continue to look after a personal relationship with us, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We love you. We ask that you bless this beautiful Tuesday. It is in your son’s mighty name that we pray today and every day. Amen.
