TODAY’S READING

1 Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights above.

2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his heavenly hosts.

3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.

4 Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the skies.

5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created,

6 and he established them for ever and ever—he issued a decree that will never pass away.

Psalms 148:1-6

God’s praise should always include us. Notice how the stars praise Him. Notice how the waters roar. The mountains standstill. The creatures of this earth are always fed and well taken care of. They continue to thrive, and the only people are the only species he gave. Free Will to complete Free Will was to us to his creation, his human creation, and we get to choose to praise him, everything else. Everything else was created and established and will not pass away, and we were created. They’re also established, but we have the choice to praise God. We have the choice to look to our Creator and thank him for not just life, not just the blessings of life, but we get to thank him for the experiences that we go through, the good and the bad. And we get to sit here and say, Lord, we give it all to you, Lord, we live it off for you. You gave us breath, and so our breath is yours. We have that opportunity. And as Christians, we have that duty, and I hope that today wherever you are, you say thank you. And I know that you do because you started off tuning in, trying to get your five-minute daily dose of heaven, and I hope it blesses you. I know that we’ve been talking about praying a lot. 

It is PSL season. We talked about it three weeks ago, praise surrender and love season. We are making the fall about praise, and what better way than to look at the sun. Look at the moon. Look at the stars. Look at the waters, look at the mountains and see how they praise the Lord by just doing what God created them to do. And we can do the same by living true, godly lives by seeking his strength and his wisdom, by looking to love by looking for grace, and by looking for him in absolutely everything that we do because he’s there and he will always be there, and he will always continue to be there.

Prayer:

Father God, Lord, we give you all of the praise. The glory is yours. We thank you for this beautiful Thursday. We thank you for our beautiful lives. We thank you for our homes and the relationships in our lives. We look to you for everything. We look to those around us. We look to the sun, the moon, and the stars, for guidance; they exist to praise you. Why because they do what you set them to do. And so, Lord, we know you put us on this earth to live a life after your heart. And so that is what we are going to do. And by doing that, we know we give you the praise because we also give you the glory. We pray this all in your son’s Mighty Name today and every day. Amen.
