TODAY’S READING

6 “This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty.

Haggai 2:6-7

I picked this first or these verses today because I wanted to paint the picture of God shaking your house, shaking your life, shaking everything around you so that he can fill it with glory. There are some things that he is dying to get off of you, and he is dying to shake it out so that you can live in the promise and then the fulfillment of that promise that He has given us. He wants us to walk in the fullness of His power and the fullness of his strength, and the fullness of His blessings. But in order to do so, we do have to shake off from time to time some things that are weighing us down. And so, today’s question is, what is weighing us down? Or what do we need to shake off in order to walk in the fullness of the promise of God? Whether that is relationships that do not serve you thought process that do not serve you lies that you have told yourself that you have bought into whatever it is that you need to shake off? 

I hope that we do so today I hope that we give it to God we put it on the altar. We say Please, Lord, take care of this one thing that holds us back. We are walking in the fullness and the promise. And so, Lord, come and shake our lives. Shake our homes, shake the earth and the scenery and the dry land. Shake all the nations and fill us with Your glory. God, fill this house with your glory. That is our prayer today. 

Prayer:

Father God, we thank you, Lord, for this beautiful Tuesday. We thank you for the opportunity to gather and meet and pray under one community under your mighty name Lord God; we thank you for the ability to get to know you deeper every single day. We thank you that you continue to chase us, and we thank you that today you are making new revelations evident to us, Lord; we are asking that we shake off whatever holds us back. You shake our homes, shake our circumstances, shake it off so that we can walk in the fullness of your promise. So whatever we’ve bought into that is not serving us, Lord. We asked for the strength to remove that. We asked for the eyes to see it. We asked for the wisdom to acknowledge and move away from it. So today, our life is yours every day, or life is yours, but today we asked for the strength to walk in the fullness of your promise. Be pray this all in your son’s mighty name. Amen.
