Episode 641

TODAY’S READING

18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

As we prepare for the next couple of weeks. I want to make sure that our hearts are in the same place and really that they are equipped and ready to receive some direction in our prayer life for us to be completely open with the Lord, for us to be very vulnerable in different areas and for us to really show him the gratitude that he deserves. This verse here says to give thanks in all circumstances, and I just wanted to make sure that we were ready that we are going to be giving things even in the hard times that has happened in our lives because we know that God works all things for our good. But more than that, we wanted to make sure that in every aspect of our lives, we are approaching it with an attitude of gratitude. So as we prepare for the next couple of weeks, I want you to start making an internal list of all of the things they call out to you when you think of being grateful for something. When you think about being grateful for your life. I want you to think about the relationships.

I want you to think about the blessings in your careers and the blessings in your family’s lives. I want you to think about what he’s done for you, or he’s done through you, the people that he has connected you with, the situations that didn’t look like they were going to be good, but when you look back, they weren’t necessary for where you are today. I want you to look at all these different things, and together we’re going to give God things. So today, look at all areas in our lives and be ready to give things in all circumstances. This is God’s will for us. This is why we get to say thank you. We have a personal relationship with God because of Christ. And so we’re going to thank Jesus for what he did. And we’re going to think that for what he does, and we are going to become grateful because it is through gratitude that we continue to feel the joy of the Lord.

Prayer:

Thank you for this beautiful Monday. Lord, God, thank you for absolutely everything in our lives. We are going to be coming to the table over the next couple of weeks with an attitude of gratitude. We know that through gratefulness, we get to continue to build a relationship that’s closer to you. Through our gratitude, we continue to see how you work all things for our good, and so God, we’re going to look at all the aspects of our lives, and we’re willing to give you the praise that you deserve. We thank you for everything that you’ve done, everything they are doing, and everything that you will do on our behalf. We don’t take any of it for granted. We love you. We ask that you bless us on this beautiful Monday. It is in your son’s holy name we pray. Amen.
