Episode 642

15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing,

2 Corinthians 2:14-15

As we prepare for the next couple of weeks. I’m wanting to make sure that our hearts were on the same place and really that they were equipped and ready to receive some direction in our prayer life for us to be completely open with the Lord, for us to be very vulnerable in different areas and for us to really show him the gratitude that he deserves. This verse here says to give thanks in all circumstances, and I just wanted to make sure that we were ready that we are going to be giving things for even in the hard times that has happened in our lives because we know that God works all things for our good. But more than that, we wanted to make sure that in every aspect of our lives, we are approaching it with an attitude of gratitude. So as we prepare for the next couple of weeks, I want you to start making an internal list of all the things they call out to you when you think of being grateful for something. When you think about being grateful for your life. I want you to think about the relationships.

I want you to think about the blessings in your careers and the blessings in your family’s lives. I want you to think about what he’s done for you, or he’s done through you, the people that he has connected you with, the situations that didn’t look like they were going to be good, but when you look back, they weren’t necessary for where you are today. I want you to look at all of these different things, and together we’re going to give God things. So today, look at all areas in our lives and be ready to give things in all circumstances. This is God’s will for us. This is why we get to say thank you. We have a personal relationship with God because of Christ. And so we’re going to thank Jesus for what he did. And we’re going to think that for what he does, and we are going to become grateful because it is through gratitude that we continue to feel the joy of the Lord.

Thank you for this beautiful Monday. Lord, God, thank you for absolutely everything in our lives. We are going to be coming to the table over the next couple of weeks with an attitude of gratitude. We know that through gratefulness, we get to continue to build a relationship that’s closer to you. Through our gratitude, we continue to see how you work all things for our good, and so God, we’re going to look at all the aspects of our lives, and we’re willing to give you the praise that you deserve. We thank you for everything that you’ve done, everything they are doing and everything that you will do on our behalf. We don’t take any of it for granted. We love you. We ask that you bless us on this beautiful Monday. It is in your son’s holy name we pray. Amen.

Hi, I'm Ali.
I want to encourage you on your faith journey!

I'm the coffee obsessed baker from Miami, FL who got too busy to find time to read scripture everyday. I knew my life was better with Jesus and I knew I wasn't the only one struggling with finding alone time with God every morning, so I put my dreams of opening a bakery aside and set out to produce a five minute daily devotional. What first started as an email chain, has now flourished into a beautiful community and I am so happy you are here!

We are a faith based community in pursuit of daily prayer. All it takes is five minutes - we know you're busy but He loves you still.
