TODAY’S READING

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,

7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

Colossians 2: 6-8

We are thankful because we were filled with the knowledge and the freedom that Christ gave us. We are thankful because nothing and no one can ever take us captive. Again. When we start slipping into old ways, toxic habits, and bad patterns, we can quickly be reminded of the freedom that Christ gave us. So with overflowing thankfulness, we say thank you, Lord. Thank you for the Spirit that lives within us. We will not be taken captive over bad philosophy, bad habits, bad circles of influence. We have the freedom of Christ. It was a gift. We have already said thank you for all of his good and perfect gifts, and this is one of them. We are filled with the Holy Spirit. He guides us. He speaks to us. He convinced us, and He is our true north star.

Prayer:

The Prayer for Today felt like, oh, we think that the Spirit lives within us, Lord, thank You that You deposited that within us so that we have not only direct communication with you, but that’s why they you continue to guide us and pull us in the right direction. You convict us, you show us, and you nudge us from our void into bad areas. So we listen to that voice. May it be the prominent voice in our lives. We love you. We thank you. We ask that you bless this Tuesday. And God, we give you April Lord and those medical reports. We know that you are working on our behalf. You are working in ways that she may not see the Lord; you are working for the doctors and the nurses and everybody that she comes in contact with. God, we pray for her, and that Mama mammogram we pray for the ultrasound we know that it’s going to be a good one. So, Lord, we ask that you bless not just April, but the person on the other side of this mic may listen to their petitions as well for prayers in all your son’s mighty name. Amen.
