Episode 649

TODAY’S READING

1 I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

Psalms 9:1

May your family come into the room and notice something different about you. May you be so eager to tell everybody of the wonderful deeds of Jesus today. I know we’ve said this already this week. I know that we’ve been so thankful in the last two weeks as we’ve been looking at our attitude of gratitude series. But I just wanted to reinforce the idea that God is first today; when we give thanks for the things that we have for the people in the room and for the situations that we’ve been in, we remember that God orchestrated everything he has brought us through this year. He’s going to take us into the next year, and he has our best interests at heart every single day. So we just give him all the things. We give him all the praise, and we tell everybody that we know about the wonders and the goodness of God.

Prayer:

Oh my God, we thank You, Lord, for this beautiful Thursday. We thank you for the opportunity to gather with our family and with our friends over this beautiful holiday. Lord, may we continue to keep gratitude at the forefront of our hearts and our minds. May we shine with your light Lord, may others look at us and ask what is different about us, and may we be quick to tell them about your wonderful deeds, about your glory, about all that you do for us on a day-to-day and we tell them that our life with you at the center is so much better than when you are not there. So, God, we continue to keep you at the forefront. We keep it at the center. We give you all the thank yous and all the praise because everything around us is in our grasp because of you. We know that you pray for us, and we thank you in advance for continuing to do so. We pray this all in your son’s holy name. Amen.
