Episode 652
TODAY’S READING
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him, all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made.
John 1:2-3
I wanted us to really recognize that nothing has been made without him. And that includes you and I; that includes everybody walking this planet. God made the lights and the earth; he made the heavens, and nothing we see was made without Jesus. And so when we think about those grand objects, light, earth, the heavens, and then you think of me, or you can think of you, I get a little bit overwhelmed. I’m not gonna lie to you. How is it that the God who made the heavens and the earth is the guy who made the sky above when I look outside, and the stars are twinkling? That God who made all of that, the trees in the ground, the birds in the sky, the animals of this planet? He made all of that, and he took time to make me, and not only did he do that alone, but he could not have done that without Jesus there. Jesus knows me.
He knows the hairs on my head. He knows the hairs on your head. He knows what makes you laugh. He knows what makes you cry. He knows what you’re going through. He knows the battles that you face. He knows what makes you. He knows that you’re an artist. He knows if you’re a singer. He knows the talents that he has because he put them there. He knows what you’re interested in and what you’re not interested in. He knows your passions. He knows what sets you on fire, so knowing that you have a best friend that knows everything about you. Wouldn’t you go to him first? Why didn’t you go to him for everything? I would naturally say yes because there is no other answer to that question. But we all know that the answer is not yes. Because many times when we face difficulties, we run to our friends first and run to our family first. We run to anybody who would just hear us here when we walk through here, or we went through, and before we consult with Jesus, we consult with them. And the issue with that is that when we have dreams inside us, we talk to someone first. And that person is quick to shut down the dream that we have. And what sucks is that God put that dream inside your heart, not the person you’re talking to. And so you can’t talk to a friend.
First, you need to talk to Jesus first, for everything, not just the dreams that he’s placed inside your heart, but through the troubles that you’re walking through. He’ll give you the wisdom and strength, and clarity to walk through these situations. So this season, as we prepare our hearts for advocacy, may we always remember that God is a good God and that Jesus was there with him when he made all things, including you. And so if you ever have a season in which you need the reassurance of the love of God, just ask him, Lord, how much do you love me? And I know with all my heart that the answer will always be the same; he will tell you that I love you infinitely, my child. There is absolutely no end. And so that’s why I’m able to be Siebel there is no end. There’s no end to the love of Jesus, and he was there at the beginning. You will be there at the end.
Prayer:
Father God, we thank You, Lord, for this beautiful Tuesday. And thank you for your son Jesus, for all he’s done for us, for all he continues to do for us. And we thank you for continuing to speak into us to speak into our dreams, to give us the wisdom to give us strength, Lord, in the good seasons and in the bad seasons. We thank You that You made us. We thank you that you took the time to craft us to give us our personalities and the passions and the things that set us on fire. You gave us joy; you gave us all of the things in between, and we thank you for that. We love you in advance. We ask that you continue to bless us in this beautiful holiday season. Please keep us in your arms this Tuesday. We pray this all in your son’s mighty name. Amen.
