Episode 742
TODAY’S READING
Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors, there is safety.
Proverbs 11:14
It just so happens that what I wrote just perfectly aligned for Easter this weekend, and the reality is that a lot of us may not have a home church. I personally do, and I will link it in the description below if you need an online church to visit. But if you have a physical church, I encourage you to become active. There. You guys need to be plugged in, and you need a counselor in your life; why? It’s because God uses people, and he uses counselors, men of God, to continue to speak to you to mold you, to teach you, to correct you so that you are in alignment and you are living righteously for the Lord. So today’s people are talking about that; you know, we have to recognize that there are people that God has appointed as pastors and leaders within the church. But these people are human, and they have an ear for the Word of God and a heart for His people. But they’re human. And so a lot of the times, we leave it up to our pastors to read the Word of God for us, and we come in on a Sunday we receive from our pastor, and that’s where the relationship ends. And I know I’m preaching to the choir because if you’re listening to me today, it’s because you understand the importance of coming back home and working on your relationship personally, between you and Jesus Monday through Friday, really Monday through Saturday. We can’t just leave it to our pastors to do all of the learning for us. But in the same way, God has appointed these people to lead his congregation to lead their specific communities so that God can continue to use the living word in the Bible to bring communities together. This past weekend my church hosted Spring Fest, it was this food festival where we celebrated the diversity of our church, and I’m located in Miami, so it’s a little bit more of a melting pot. But we had tents from all places. We had three Cuban tents because Miami is filled with Cubans like myself, and we had a Dominican tent. We had a tent from Jamaica; we had temperate Bahamas, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and all of these places. And it just showed that the body of Christ doesn’t just look like one person.
It is all of us. And so when you get plugged into a Community Church, you’re gonna meet people from all walks of life, and you’re gonna have counselors that are going to grow and speak to you. And so it’s so important to find one. It’s so important to have that so today, just reach out to those that you have in your community, just thank them for their fellowship, thank them for their counseling. And if you don’t have one, I encourage you to find one because, as we just read, where there is no guidance of, people fall, but in an abundance of counselors, there is safety, and if something that I am so thankful that I have counselors that can help many and I as we walk through something in our marriage that can help my family and me as we walk through something. As we celebrate the highs and we cry in the lows. There is a community of like-minded people to help you in those seasons. So I encourage us all just to be so thankful for the counselors in our lives.
Prayer:
Father God, thank You, Lord. For this Tuesday. Thank You for Your Word. We thank you for the people that you bring into our lives to continue to sharpen us; iron sharpens iron. The Bible says that. It also says that you appoint the pastors and the leaders in our lives, and so, Lord, we are thankful for the pastors in our lives. We’re thankful for the pastors that have taken on the mantle of pastoring their communities in their churches, and so we thank you all for the different communities that we are a part of. And Lord, if there’s anybody under the sun of my voice who is looking for one, God, nudge them in the right direction, take them to the home that you want them to be so we can get all in unison. Praise your holy name this Sunday on Easter. We love you. We thank you. We honor you this week and every week. It is in your son’s mighty name that we pray. Amen.
