You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1034. Today's Devo is called all minds matter. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning devotional podcast. Good morning, everyone. Happy Thursday. We are one day away from Friday, which means we're right there. To the weekend. We're almost there. We're halfway through the week, and we have an amazing devotional today from Michelle called all minds matter. So take it away, Rachelle. Let's do it. So, today's verse is romans twelve. One, two. And it says, I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that by testing, you may discern what is the will of God and what is good and acceptable and perfect. And like. Like I said this week, we're really just talking about our thoughts, our mind, and how we can, in the middle of an uncontrollable situation, technically, what you can't control. And I think a lot of that, is our mind and the way that we think, because the way that we think will eventually come out in the way that we act.

00:01:31.859 --> 00:01:57.304
And this verse says that our bodies are a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is our spiritual worship. And I read this verse so many times. That's really good. And I don't think I've ever really put together that it's our spiritual worship. And we always talk about every day we have to worship. And you worship differently.

00:01:57.424 --> 00:02:04.599
Some of them are expressive. Some of us just pray, but the way that we live is spiritual worship.

00:02:04.671 --> 00:02:22.795
Yeah. And it's not just sometimes getting up in the morning and saying, I'm gonna worship through this heart situation, and I'm gonna put a song and I'm gonna get in the car and sing this song. Yeah, you have to do that. But you also worship by the way you live for God.

00:02:22.860 --> 00:04:40.946
Yes. And I think this just backs up what we're talking about saying, even in the middle of negative times. That's good, Rashad. We still have to worship God. Yeah. And we don't do it by just putting a song and singing about getting through something, but by living right and saying I'm going to do things differently, even if my situation says you have all the right to not be good right now, I'm not going to do that. Because the Bible says that my body is a living sacrifice for God. And the way that I do that is by renewing my mind every day. It says here, by the renewal of your mind. So we can test and discern the will of God, and so we can learn what is good, acceptable and perfect. Jeez. So at some point there is acceptable and perfect will of God. Not that we're perfect, but God's will is perfect. God is perfect. And we get to experience God's perfection when we live and worship God through our lives. And we say, I'm gonna think on the right things, the honorable things, the pure things, even when I don't feel like it, because I worship God with all of me. And today I'm gonna get up and worship God by treating the person that doesn't treat me right. Treat them right? Yeah, because I have God in me and I know the way that I need to treat people. And in that way, I'm worshiping him. Yes, because my body is saying, I'm going to honor you, God. And when you view it that way, it's not about you anymore, what's coming towards you, what people are saying about you, but it's about God and how he gets to be honored and gets to be glorified in every area of our life, Jesus. And because of that, he deserves our worship. And our worship is we're gonna live our righteous life. Do me a favor, star this episode and listen to this episode over and over and over again. That the way you just explained it, rachelle, is perfect. That is literally the perfect way to respond to every negative comment, every trial in your life. You responding in a righteous way is worship unto God. Go back and just relisten to this whole podcast again, over and over, because that was brilliant. Can you pray us out, please? Let's do it.

00:04:41.050 --> 00:04:48.233
Lord, thank you once again, because you are good and everything about our lives is about you, God.

00:04:48.274 --> 00:05:14.172
It's not about us. And I just thank you that you give us the honor and chance to play a part in it both. Lord, our lives are for you. And so I just pray right now that you will continue to help us through this week and see different areas of our life where we actually get to worship you and give you all the honor. And Lord, show us how you want us to worship you, not how we think we could worship. But how you want us to worship you, God?

00:05:14.267 --> 00:05:21.874
Because at the end of the day, it's about honoring and giving you all the glory. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen.

00:05:22.454 --> 00:05:25.918
So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven.

00:05:26.045 --> 00:05:43.254
