That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven.

This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and welcome back to our podcast. Today is Thursday, and the weekend is almost there. Yes. And we know that this week has been awesome. Steph has been sharing some amazing truths, and I know that this is going to help all of us with our walk with God, the everyday walk with God. And so, steph, take it away. Let's do it. So today I'm talking about how Jesus makes us holy. Jesus is holy, but he also invites us to be holy along with him. And I'm reading from the verse, romans twelve, one through two, which says.

It was phenomenal. And she read from the same verse, romans twelve, which says, therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is.

So Jesus has given you this invitation today to be holy. This is what I always try to remember. One step towards holiness is one step away from disarray. One step towards holiness is one step away from bondage. One step towards holiness is one step away from anxiety. Holiness is peace. It is righteousness. It is being more like Jesus. And every day, little by little, it's a lifelong journey of being holy. But the closer and closer we get to Holiness, the further and further away we get from the person we don't want to be. Yeah. And it's beautiful because Jesus has made that invitation open to literally everybody. There is not one person that Jesus has said, oh, you can't be holy. You won't be able to do it. You're probably not strong enough for this. You're a little too far from being holy. Your past is too bad. He has made the the invitation open to everyone. And I've seen it to encourage you. I've seen it in my own life. And people in our church that have gone from the craziest backgrounds to being ministers at our church.

So be encouraged. God has made that invitation open to you today to be holy. And you can do it. You can be holy. He's given you his power to achieve holiness, to step into holiness. And what does that look like in practical terms? Maybe just don't curse today.

That's a simple challenge. Don't say a bad word. Don't say a bad word. Stop cursing. Only have one glass of wine. Don't have three or four or five. Only say kind words to the people around you. Lift them up. Build them up. Try to think on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is pure. Dress modestly. Yeah. Try to type in on Pinterest. How to dress more modestly. How to dress with holiness. Look up how pastors dress. Look up how leaders in your church, how they dress, how they go about their day, how do they talk to people, what is holiness? Look at the people in your life that you admire, the christians in your life that you admire and imitate them, imitate their faith, imitate how they walk in their daily life. Speak like them, act like them. Of course, be yourself, but be the holy version of yourself, because Jesus has made that, that invitation open to you. So it's possible you can be holy and watch with a little change every single day, once a week, one small change, you'll start to notice yourself being a totally different person a year from now. Yeah.

Listen to christian music, listen to worship music, blast it in your car all day, and you'll realize that your whole demeanor will change. Holiness is a beautiful thing, and it's a gift that God has given us that we can all walk in it. So that's my challenge to you. Walk in holiness and one small action a day and see how your life completely changes when you chase holiness today. And you said it, walk in it, which means every day you're taking a step towards it.

God, I thank you for every person listening today, that they will be encouraged that they can achieve holiness, even in 24 hours. With one small decision, one small change to who they are, they can achieve holiness. Just like we said, Father, we're not perfect. But God, we want to be holy. So make us holy.
