You're listening to my morning devotional podcast, episode 1067. Today's Evo is called are you acknowledged? Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:21.333 --> 00:02:06.516
That's why we partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and happy Tuesday. We are so excited that you have joined us this morning. We hope that this new format of just one host is blessing you. And if you enjoy it, if you like it, if you have any ideas, any comments, please feel free to reach out to us through our text line or through our instagram. We love to see what you think, and we really, really appreciate it. So today we're going to go with proverbs three six, and it says, in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will make your path straight. I love this verse. And as I read it this time around, it really challenged me because sometimes I had this thought of we love to be acknowledged, whether it's small things or big things. If your family is trying to make a decision for me, sometimes is if my husband is trying to make a decision, I might not need to be the one making it. But I love to be acknowledged. I love to say, hey, you considered me and your plan making. And even with friends, if they're going to do something, if they're thinking of making a huge change for their life, whether it's moving a new job or dating somebody, getting married, I love to be acknowledged, not because I want to make those decisions for you, but because I have a relationship with you. And I want to know what you're thinking. I want to know what you're processing, and I want to know how I can be praying and supporting you in this new thing you're thinking of doing. As I read this verse, I said, how many times do I go through life, not big things, but even the small things of my everyday?

00:02:06.668 --> 00:02:14.515
And I don't acknowledge God in my ways, and it could be the smallest thing. How should I plan my day today?

00:02:14.587 --> 00:02:40.448
Or how should I speak to this person? How should I be thinking about this situation or this person? And I go into what do I think I should do? Instead of saying I should acknowledge God in all my ways, this verse says that he will make our path straight, but it says, in all your ways, acknowledge him. It doesn't say, in all your big things. Acknowledge him. In your hard times.

00:02:40.544 --> 00:03:09.562
Acknowledge him, it says, in all your ways. Which means I need to be in constant communication with God every single day. Now, as a mom, I feel even challenged by this so much because when Marino's not feeling good or there's a new season with a toddler and they're doing new things, I've never been through that. And instead of just rushing to instagram to see what all the other young moms are doing, how do I acknowledge God?

00:03:09.746 --> 00:03:13.536
And how do I say, lord, help me in this moment. Help me.

00:03:13.657 --> 00:03:24.771
Guide me. He's my son. How can I do this better in my family, in my work, in every conversation I approach, in every thought that I think, how am I acknowledging you?

00:03:24.915 --> 00:03:57.937
Because God is in a relationship with us and he loves us, and he wants to know what we're thinking, and he wants us to go and tell him what we're processing. And he wants to know that we are acknowledging him because he's the one making our path straight. He's the one that will be able to make a way when there's no way, not our doings, only God. So we love to be acknowledging things. Imagine how much more the Lord desires to be acknowledged by us in all of our ways. So I just encourage you this morning and everything you do today, the little and the big, acknowledge him.

00:03:57.993 --> 00:04:52.572
So let's pray. Dear Father God, we just start by saying we apologize for any moments that we've gone through life without thinking that we need you on the things that we've said. I can do this on my own. The truth, Lord, is that we can't do anything without you, Father. So today we say we make a step forward to saying, we will acknowledge you, Lord, in all of our ways, the small and the big, because we want our life to be a fruit of. The fruit of our life should be from you, not from the things that we can do, but from the things that you can do. Because ultimately, our lives are to honor Lord. So we thank you for another great day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend, leave a comment or review for us on the app you're using right now.

00:04:52.675 --> 00:04:57.300
Until tomorrow, we pray that your latte is strong, but your love for Jesus is stronger.
