You're listening to the my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1074. Today's Devo is called what you really want. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:21.734 --> 00:02:03.819
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Well, good morning. Welcome back. It's a wonderful Thursday. Again. I hope you guys are enjoying the different hosts that you guys are hearing from. You're hearing from Gabby this week. I'm Gabby. And we were laughing in between filming, because we are filming. Lauren, you'll hear from Rochelle. You've heard from. I believe you've heard from both of them. You'll hear from Stephanie. And all of us have such a unique way of communicating and sharing this gospel and sharing these words that. That I feel like I am your intense, really strong early morning shot of espresso. So sometimes that espresso shot just hits to the back of your throat and it can be intense. But, hey, it'll wake you up. That is for sure. So I hope you're enjoying this deep, intense, dark shot of espresso this morning. I believe today's Devo is going to bless you, and I look forward to sharing it with you guys. So let's get back into the word. I'm going to be continuing in the story of blind Bartimaeus, which is found in mark ten. By the way, I do read out of the ESV translation, so if you'd like to find it, we're going to read from mark 1051. And it says, and Jesus said to him, what do you want for me to do for you? And the blind man said to him, rabbi, let me recover my sight. We started the story yesterday about how blind Bartimaeus, he cried out all the more to Jesus. Well, when he got Jesus attention and Jesus turned to him, his response to the man was, what do you want me to do for you?

00:02:04.400 --> 00:02:48.545
He's asking the man how he can help him, how he can heal him. And this just so blessed me this morning because I thought, how would my faith change if I went into every moment with the Lord or every life situation believing that God wants to bless me? How would my prayers change if I truly believed that God was there, ready to bless me and answer them? And so I ask you that question today. I ask you, what would your life look like? How would your circumstance change? Or how would your perspective change, change if you believed that God wants to bless you?

00:02:48.698 --> 00:04:45.610
And when we say bless you, we're saying, God wants to do what you're wanting him to do. God wants to give you what you want. God wants to answer the prayer that you're praying. God wants to heal whatever is sick in your body. You see, the blind man had this moment where he finally got Jesus's attention. And instead of Jesus already turning and knowing what the man wanted, which if you know Jesus, you know God. He already knew the man's situation, but Jesus wanted to hear it from him. So let our prayers today be full of faith, and let's go to God asking him for what we want, sharing with him what we desire. The Bible says he already knows, and he knows the desires of our heart. But I challenge you today to share those desires with him. And as you sit with him to pray, know that he is wanting to bless you, and he wants to give you what you really want. Let's pray today. God, we thank you for today. We thank you for this Thursday. Lord, we thank you that you've placed desires in our heart and you've given us the ability and the freedom to desire things, to go after things, to. To want certain things. But today, God, we just submit and we ask you for the specific things in our life. I pray that all of us can just be detailed and open and vulnerable to you today. But approaching you and coming to you, God, full of faith, believing and knowing that you want to bless us and God, I'm just believing, and I'm going to speak it over the audience right now, that we're going to hear praise, reports of answered prayers that happened after today's Devo. People saying, I asked God for this and I received it because of the faith that I went into that prayer. I'm believing for it in Jesus name. Amen.

00:04:46.189 --> 00:04:49.670
