00:00:00.200 --> 00:00:21.597
You're listening to the my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1075. Today's Devo is called the Way. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:21.734 --> 00:00:32.595
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Well, happy Friday, everybody.

00:00:32.707 --> 00:01:28.769
You've made it. We've made it to the end of the week, and it's been just a pleasure and a really cool experience to be able to join you guys and come with all of you and share just from me to you. If you don't know who was talking, it's Gabby. By the way. We are doing something a little bit different this week on our end or this month on our end. You guys are used to it. If you've been listening to the podcast for a while, but you've heard from Lauren personally, where each of us girls are getting in here, and it's a one on one, it's just us sharing the devo for the day. You heard from Lauren, you heard from Rochelle. You've listened to me all week, and next week you're going to love it because Stephanie is going to get in the podcast, and she just always has such a great word. So be expectant and be ready. But for today, we are reading. We're going to finish up the story of blind Bartimaeus in Mark 1052. And this is what it says.

00:01:29.590 --> 00:02:21.009
This is the fun part. Jesus said to him, go your way. Your faith has made you well. And immediately he recovered his sight and. Followed him on the way. This just gets me so excited. If you've been listening to the last couple of episodes, the last two days, we've been talking about in mark ten, blind Bartimaeus, where a blind man comes and approaches Jesus. He cries out to him. When Jesus doesn't hear him, he cries out all the more. Jesus turns to him and asks him, what can I do for you? And this is the response. Jesus said, go your way. Your faith has made you well. This gets me so excited because, guys, it just shows me the power of our faith. It shows me the impact of our faith. And you know what? This is just hitting me right here in the podcast. So if I go off in a rabbit trail, forgive me.

00:02:21.629 --> 00:02:47.879
There is a reason why fear is so powerful and why all throughout our day, we are constantly getting tripped up by fear and doubt. Because both fear and doubter will say the enemy. He knows how powerful our faith is. If the enemy can keep us from having a special beck of faith, a mustard seed sized faith, he can keep us from our healing. He can keep us from freedom.

00:02:48.039 --> 00:03:10.578
So that was my little rabbit trail. But that just shows me, number one, how impactful and how powerful our faith is when we step into our faith, when we say, okay, lord, I am putting my faith in you. I am believing, God, that you can heal me. I am believing that you want to bless me. I am believing that you have the power to do it.

00:03:10.713 --> 00:03:33.527
Because Jesus says your faith has made you well, your faith has made you whole. And what it says, that it continues to say, and immediately he recovered his sight. So we're seeing how the faith impacted him. He now can see, and it says. He followed him on the way. So immediately he recovered his sight and. Followed him on the way.

00:03:33.674 --> 00:03:55.915
Now, there's two areas in this verse that talk about way. Jesus says, go your way, but then at the end it says that the man followed Jesus on the way. And I think this is interesting, because when we're talking about your way, Jesus might be saying, hey, go on with your life. Go on and handle what you gotta handle. You know, sometimes you might have a touch of God.

00:03:55.948 --> 00:04:13.425
You might experience Jesus for the first time. You have an incredible encounter, and we got to go back to life, and we figure out how you juggle that. But when it's talking about the way, at the end of this message, what it's referring to is a walk with Christ. It's a christian walk with Christ.

00:04:13.578 --> 00:04:17.129
The way, not a way, the way.

00:04:17.290 --> 00:05:11.817
And so when we've received our healing, when Jesus has moved into our lives, then we continue to walk in the way of Christ. It's not a handout. It's not something we just take and we walk away from, and we got our healing. Now I can walk on my own way. No, no, no. We walk on the way, the way of Christ, the way that leads to eternity, the way that leads to the kingdom. That's the way that we walk in. And ultimately, that's our way of showing Jesus how grateful we are for healing us, how grateful we are for saving us. So today, your faith has made you well. Your faith can do mighty things. Our faith in Jesus can do mighty things. And how we show him our appreciation is by continually to walk in the way of Christ. Lord, we thank you for today.

00:05:11.994 --> 00:05:55.959
We thank you that you've given us the ability to have faith in things that we don't see. We thank you that you partner with us, Jesus, that you say your faith. You give us the opportunity to use this faith, God. And ultimately, we thank you for being a healer. We thank you for always coming through when we need you, God. Now I pray over all of us that are listening as we go on our way today, that we would walk in the way, we'd walk in your way, God, that you would keep us on the road, Jesus, that leads to eternity, that we would say no to certain things, and we would continue to keep our eyes on you, God, as we show you our appreciation and thanks for healing our body, we thank you for it. In Jesus name, amen.

00:05:56.740 --> 00:06:00.220
So there you have it, your five minute daily dose of heaven.
