We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and happy Thursday. My name is Rochelle Alessi. I've been with you guys all this week, and we've made it to Thursday. So we hope that you are liking and enjoying this week's Devos. But listen, we want to hear from you guys as well. We love when we get to hear your comments, your fan mail, when we just get to hear from you and how this podcast has either helped you or impacted you, or even things that you would love for us to talk about. This week I've been talking about certain attributes of God, and we would love to know if there's parts of God and things that you would love to learn because we're here to do this together. And so comment, send us messages however you want. We're here to read it, and we truly love to read them. So let's get into today's Devo, which is all about God's faithfulness. And the verse I have is psalm 119, and it says, your faithfulness continues through all generations. You establish the earth and it endures. I love this because it says that God's faithfulness continues throughout all generations. And if we open the Bible from Genesis one till today, we get to see the faithfulness of God with every single generation. I love that this verse also doesn't just talks about God being faithful to me, because when we single out God just being faithful to us, we sometimes don't get to see the big picture of how awesome and powerful our God is, because God has been faithful and he has never changed.

00:02:09.150 --> 00:02:54.162
Generation after generation, from the big promises that we hear with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob till today, God has been faithful. And even if we've had hard moments in life, we can all say, even if we're breathing right now, that we have experienced the faithfulness of God in any area of our life because he is a good father and he loves us and he loves to stay faithful. And it's on us to say, because we've seen him be faithful, we're going to pass down what we know about goddess to the next generation. And we need to see that what we do today is not just about us, is not just about myself or yourself.

00:02:54.346 --> 00:03:38.349
What we do is for generations and generations and generations to come is for them to see how great and how awesome God is. If we allow God to work in our lives and do his work and we experience that faithfulness of goddess and we say, because I've experienced it, I know it. It's on me now to make sure that my children, my children's children and the generations to come know that God is faithful. That's why it's so important for us to also open the Bible and read about all the promises that God had made early on and how he delivered on his promises every single time.

00:03:38.650 --> 00:05:30.663
And that should be an encouragement to us today. If there is something that you know that God has promised you of, something that your heart desires, God has a promise for you. And all you have to do really is open the word of God and see the promises that he has for you. Because you might hear about the promises of God and you don't even feel like you're a person that qualifies for them, but that's because you don't know about them. Because God has a promise for every single one of us. And he gladly wants to deliver on his promise because he's faithful, because he wants to show this earth and he wants to show us his glory, his strength and how good of a father he is to you. So I just encourage you today that if you're not familiar with promises and you having something to look forward to or something that God has kind of come through your life, I encourage you to start thinking about that, to start praying to God. Tell God, God, what are promises do you have for my life? And just read about them. Open the word of God and read about the promises that God has fulfilled and the promises that he has for you and that he will fulfill at his time. Let's pray today. Father God, we just want to thank you because you are faithful. For Father, I know that if we are alive today, we all have experienced your faithfulness in our lives any way or the other. And if we feel like we haven't, Lord, I just pray that you will open our eyes and ears to see and hear things that we've never seen or heard before. Because that just means that we have not been aware of the faithfulness that you have surrounded us with. And we don't ever want to live a life where we're not aware of your faithfulness, Father.

00:05:30.791 --> 00:05:53.312
And so I just pray that you show us that, but that you will also speak to us directly from your word and show us the promises that you have for us. Because you are our father and we are your children, and you have amazing gifts that you want to give your children. And so we just say, today, Father, we're thankful for your faith. For us. In Jesus name we pray.

00:05:53.456 --> 00:06:08.439
Amen. So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend.
