You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1106. Today's Devo is called acts of God.

00:00:07.070 --> 00:00:47.874
He hears you. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning devotional podcast. Happy Monday, everybody. My name is Stephanie, and I am so excited for this week's devotional because all week long, I'm going to be dedicating our devotionals to the acts of God, some actions that God is always, always at work doing.

00:00:48.042 --> 00:01:46.810
And today I'm starting off with he hears you because we've heard some feedback from you guys that you've wondered, does God hear me? How does he hear me? Where does the Bible say that he even hears me? And that is a very valid question to ask a lot of us go through seasons where you feel like you are praying to brass skies where you have put in so many requests to God, but you haven't seen any, any outpouring or any response from goddess. I've been there myself personally. It is a normal season to walk through as a Christian. But I want to remind you today, first, John 514 says this. I'm reading from the Niv version. This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.

00:01:47.310 --> 00:02:01.609
My husband and I, we always laugh at each other because we will be in two separate rooms, and I'll start a conversation with him, and he'll be washing the dishes. And I'm having a full conversation with my husband, thinking that he hears me perfectly, and he yells out, what?

00:02:01.950 --> 00:02:20.466
What are you saying? I can't hear anything you're saying. And I'm like, oh, my gosh, I'm having a full conversation in the bedroom, and you're not hearing anything. Well, it's because he's listening. He's washing the dishes, and he's clinking with all of our dishes in the sink. And of course, he can't hear me. And it happens probably once a day in our household.

00:02:20.538 --> 00:03:05.439
And it's the funniest thing. He always says that I'm talking to the wall, that I'm having a conversation with the wall. Well, no, I'm not. I'm having a conversation with him. And God doesn't do that. God is not distracted like us. He, he doesn't get too busy. He is never too much in a rush that he can't slow down and hear your prayer. God is always listening to the things that we say and to the things that we don't say. He hears us. In the darkest times, he hears you. In the loneliest times, God hears you. In the loudest, most busy times of your life, God hears you.

00:03:05.599 --> 00:03:17.008
He hears your frustrations, he hears your requests. He hears your prayers. He hears your cry. If you cry out to him, he hears you. If you're burdened, he hears you.

00:03:17.104 --> 00:03:37.469
If you're joyous, he hears you. God doesn't get distracted like we do when you call on his name. He tunes into your voice at any time of the day, at any time of the night, and he hears your prayer. And then this is the confidence that we have. He responds.

00:03:38.490 --> 00:05:10.240
You may not see exactly the response that you wanted, but we now have to be in faith that God responded the way he wanted to respond. You know, that's always going to be the biggest challenge of our walk of faith, to just trust God that he knows what he's doing. The Bible says that now that we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him. Well, that's how God works. If you ask him to be married tomorrow, but he makes you wait a few years to get married, you have to trust that God knows you need that time. If you ask God for healing in your body, but you haven't gotten that healing just yet, you have to trust that God has a plan for your healing testimony and soon you will have a testimony of healing over your life. We have to have confidence that if we ask God for something, we have to trust what his response will be. He is the all knowing God. He has all wisdom, so he knows best how to respond to our prayers. But listen, you are never alone. You are never unheard. God hears your prayer and the word of God says that and he responds to your prayer. Let's pray God. First and foremost, we just thank you right now that you hear our prayers. In our loneliest days, in our

00:05:10.279 --> 00:05:47.531
00 p.m. you hear our prayers. So God, right now, if your word says that you respond to our prayers, we trust how you respond. You are the all wise and all knowing God. So however you respond is the way you believe. Is best. So we give that to you and we give you our days. We give you our prayer requests, and we trust that you will respond in the perfect way. And in Jesus name we all pray to. Amen. So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today.
