00:00:00.479 --> 00:00:07.126
You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1109. Today's Devo is called acts of God.

00:00:07.277 --> 00:00:21.957
He provides for you. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.094 --> 00:00:47.564
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody. Happy Thursday. We're halfway through the week, or we're more than halfway through the week. So get your weekend plans. We are going to have a wonderful weekend. But until then, let's dive into the word of God again.

00:00:47.692 --> 00:01:09.414
I love this community. I love that we all get to get closer to Jesus together and look at what God does for us. It is such a cool thing to ask God a question like, God, what do you do for me? How do you move? And then dive into the word of God and see and learn about him and see what he does?

00:01:09.581 --> 00:01:17.126
On Monday, we heard about how he hears us. On Tuesday, we learned about how he speaks to us yesterday, and we learned about how he sees us.

00:01:17.158 --> 00:01:35.840
And today we're learning about how he provides for us. Matthew six nine says, our father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Let me say that again.

00:01:36.219 --> 00:01:47.000
Give us today our daily bread. Now, let me say it as if I was praying. Father God, give me today my daily bread.

00:01:47.939 --> 00:02:13.223
Essentially, what you're asking God for is to provide for you exactly what you need. Not too much and not too little, but just enough. And he will provide. You know, he's given you the, the house that you live in. He's given you the car that you drive in. He's given you the job that you work at. He's given you the clothes off your back.

00:02:13.350 --> 00:02:20.979
He's given you the money that you have. He's given you the food that you eat. All of it comes from the Lord.

00:02:21.679 --> 00:02:39.122
And you have to believe that and walk in confidence that he is your sole provider, not man, but he is. We work hard every single day to pay for the house, to pay for the food, but essentially it all comes from the Lord.

00:02:39.265 --> 00:03:01.069
Because he owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He owns all the money in the world, so it all comes from him. That's why it's so easy to give back everything to God, because he gives it all to us in the first place. He is my sole provider. If I need something, I can go to him and he will give it to me at the right time.

00:03:01.810 --> 00:03:05.484
And we don't need to worry about it. We don't need to live in lack.

00:03:05.572 --> 00:03:55.360
We don't need to think with a scarcity mindset, thinking there's not enough in the world for me to have. So how am I going to ever get that cool outfit? How am I ever going to get the food that we need to provide? Inflation is awful. How am I ever going to pay for the groceries for my family? We never have to worry, because if God is our sole provider, he will provide us exactly what we need in the time of need. I'm going to read a long Bible verse to you today, but I wanted to encourage you. And it's Matthew 625 again, it's long, so tune in. It says, therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes? This is the words of Jesus.

00:03:55.770 --> 00:04:32.362
Look at the birds of the air. They do not sow or weep or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the fields grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow was thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you?

00:04:32.545 --> 00:05:12.586
So do not worry, saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Let's pray. God, you are our sole provider today, tomorrow, next month, next year. You have provided for us up to this point, so we believe that you'll continue to provide for us.

00:05:12.737 --> 00:05:45.839
God, if anybody, under the sound of my voice, is struggling with finances or with groceries, with big things or with little things, God, we believe that you are our sole provider and that you will give us what we need exactly when we need it. You clothe the lilies of the field, so you will clothe us. God. There's a song called Jireh from Maverick City that says, jaira, you are enough. So father, if we don't have these things, we know that you are enough for us.

00:05:46.000 --> 00:06:23.449
You give us everything that we need. You are our sole provider, and we are content just with that. So give us today our daily bread, and thank you for always providing for us in the time of need. And in Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it, your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
