You're listening to the my Morning Devotional. Podcast, episode number 1000. Today's Devo is called and a thousand more.

00:00:12.294 --> 00:00:30.492
Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven.

00:00:30.638 --> 00:00:52.363
This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. We have finally made it to episode 1000. Give it up for yourselves to make today's episode special. And just to celebrate it, we have the entire cast of my morning devote joining us, including Allison.

00:00:53.264 --> 00:02:29.463
Hi, guys. Allison, you've been killing it all week in leading up to the thousandth episode. You have been doing such an amazing job bringing the devotionals and just sharing what's on your heart in this season. And I know the listeners have really enjoyed it. I've seen all of their posts and they've been dming and sending us messages of how much they've enjoyed hearing your voice again. And it really has been a blessing. So I'm glad that you came back to celebrate this thousandth episode. And, yeah, how about you take it away on this thousandth episode for today's Devo? Well, it's been an honor to be back on the show. I definitely miss the recording aspect of it. I miss the show. But it's been a great break. And I just thank you guys for this next season of my morning devotional. I know that we're celebrating 1000, but we label today's Devo a thousand more because I know that there's three, four more years and more for this show because God is just doing something special in every single person. Yes. So today we're gonna be in Psalm, chapter 144, verse 13. It says, our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields. And we just wanted to pray a blessing over everybody listening because we have been together almost four years. We're going to celebrate four years on June 1. And this is a beautiful prayer, really, for all of us. Everybody listening, everybody who's been a part of the show, the new production, the old production. We have an assistant, Kimmy, who has been with me every single day for the last four, four years. And Kimmy transferred over to here as well. So she has been behind the scenes.

00:02:29.584 --> 00:03:05.063
And it's a blessing for everybody that as we continue to sharpen in our word daily that God will continue to bless us by the thousands. And I'm just honored. So I thank you guys. And so that, you know, for today's episode, we're gonna pray out so that we're all on the same page, but we wanted to talk a little bit more, make this a little bit of a longer show. So stick around after the prayer so that we can answer some of the questions that you guys submitted. And it's going to be more of a living room situation. And you can hear more about me and your different hosts as we continue this, but it's been an honor.

00:03:05.104 --> 00:03:12.039
So I just thank you. It's been really special to be alongside of this, and I know all of us, like I said earlier, the whole cast is here.

00:03:12.072 --> 00:03:15.647
So Lauren's to my right, Rochelle and Stephanie's to my left.

00:03:15.776 --> 00:03:55.334
And it's just been really special that we get to do this. I know they can all even chime in that we have a place that we can share what the Lord puts on our heart, the different verses that we read in our spare time, or, you know, when we go and search for it, it's special that we have a place to come and share that. And this audience has been incredible. Can we take a minute and just thank the audience for sticking around with us and encouraging us? There was one person, I don't know if we've mentioned it, but there was one person from South Africa that listed all of our personalities and how she interpreted all of our personalities just from hearing us for a couple of weeks. And can I tell you, you were spot on.

00:03:55.753 --> 00:04:29.274
It was crazy to see how they have just rallied around us because of what you've created. You've created a really good audience out there. Thank you. And incredible followers that are spirit led people are really good believers that need this every day. And to see that they now have followed us and continued that, it's been really, really special. So this is a special day. And like you said, we celebrate a thousand episodes, but we look to a thousand more. Yes. And we believe that just as much as God was in the last thousand, he's going to be even more so in the next. Amen. So can you pray us out today?

00:04:29.353 --> 00:05:08.043
Of course, Father. God, we thank you, Lord, for this Friday. God, we thank you for this community of believers coming together every day to sharpen themselves, to learn more about you, to keep you centered in their lives. And, Lord, today we pray that psalm 144 over everyone, that our barns will be filled with every kind of provision that our sheeps will increase by thousands. Lord, you know the people on the other side of this mic. You understand everybody's needs and where their heart sits today. You know what they need. And I pray that you continue to give them strength and wisdom in this season. We ask for a blessed thousand more. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

00:05:13.303 --> 00:05:50.348
Alrighty, ladies. So, like we said earlier, we were going to take some time today to celebrate it, and we are going to take time. That's what we're gonna do. We're gonna slow down a little bit. We're not gonna focus so much on the five minute clock like we usually do. And we're going to ask some questions to Allison, to one another, and just talk about this incredible show and podcast that's happened now for a thousand episodes. Before we get into it, fellow cast members, would you guys like to greet everybody and say hello? Yes. Hello, everybody. Rochelle is here. Yeah, I'm here. I'm here. Hi, Rochelle. It is me, Stephanie.

00:05:50.396 --> 00:08:21.048
Glad to be here. And as you know me, Allie, and. It'S Lolo or Lauren. Good to see or be with everybody. I know this is a really fun episode. Like we said, we're going to just kind of talk about it and celebrate it and ask Alison some questions about how she did the show back when she had it. And then we're going to answer some questions as well. So, Rochelle, would you like to kick it off? Question number one. Let's do it. Yeah. You guys sent in some really great questions. Yeah. Thank you for sending those, because it's going to be fun to answer them together, but also to see the different responses from everybody on how we approach everything is just going to be fun. But the first question says, how do you get your topic ideas? Who wants to start this one? Allison, why don't you kick us off? Yeah. Well, I guess I have to go back to how I started the show. So I started the show in October of 2019. I started writing emails. The show didn't start until June 1 in an audio like podcast format, which was right after the pandemic. So in October, I felt like my prayer time was slipping, so I started to write emails in that soap method that we still do today, scripture, observation, application, prayer. And when the pandemic hit, I had a couple people ask me, will you do this in a podcast? So I said, I don't know anything about podcasting, but three people have asked me. So therefore, yes. And I learned, and I quickly threw it together. What I didn't realize was, what am I gonna talk about every single day forever because I never had an end date in mind, and how am I gonna do this? And every day, God just continues to pause it. And what you realize is if you just get in your word every day, you're going to come up with something. So in some seasons, it was very much aligned with a theme, like in Valentine's Day, like, you know, Christmas season is all about Advent and Christmas in February. We're talking about love, so it's not easy, but there's a theme on those, but on the in betweens, I mean, that just comes to, what am I walking through in my personal life? And how can I apply the scripture verse today? Yeah, yeah. Steph, what about you? Same. It's. It's. It does keep you on, like, a good rotation of always waking up and reading your Bible because you have to come in with the topic. But I just go back to the scriptures that I'm reading in my personal time, and then I will sometimes sit there and think, okay, what am I actually struggling with? Like, what's some stuff that I know will make people feel like they're less alone in their walk because I'm going through it and I could just offer them some of the advice that I've learned.

00:08:21.175 --> 00:09:30.374
Yeah. So, yeah, the same. It's, um. It's fun because before doing this, I've. I've never had to think of, like, content to put together. But it's great to see how the Bible can just naturally give you that. Yeah. Yeah. In some moments, it could be challenging. Like, when me and Lauren did a podcast together, we were like, okay, we have to talk about one verse, but we need to make sure we tell everybody to read the entire thing. I want to take anything out of context, but even in that, it's beautiful to see how one verse can speak to many and how we can all read it differently and just come up with something that God spoke to you. But I love what you said about what are you going through, because then it just allows you the. Allows you to be just real on what you're going through right now. You don't have to be so smart and knowledgeable on any topic, but just talk about what you're going through and what's God depositing in your heart. Yeah, yeah. And you'll know if I'm going through or if you guys are going through. Like, if it's a relational issue in my life, then for, like, you'll hear it, because for five episodes, we're talking about relationships. And if it's a financial, like, burden that I want to give a big offering for something in my life.

00:09:30.494 --> 00:09:41.927
You're gonna hear about financial offerings. And it's funny because it's my personal prayers. That's how I've always said it. These are my personal prayers, which I broadcast for you, for the audience.

00:09:42.096 --> 00:10:29.539
And that's the same thing with you guys. Yeah. What I've noticed, and this isn't, like, to say to air out anybody's dirty laundry, but I'm noticing it starts with, what am I receiving? What am I reading daily? And like steph said, I'm seeing the need for me to be in my word daily. This morning, I did not want to wake up and do it, but I knew if I didn't get that time in, I wouldn't have. I won't read until tomorrow, you know? But also, I'm noticing the encouragement that I'm giving other people in my daily life, where if someone sits with me and I'm walking somebody through a situation in their life, I try to see that as inspiration and use that as, oh, well, if this person is of this age group and is struggling with this, then I wonder how many other people are struggling with the same thing.

00:10:29.692 --> 00:10:37.322
And so, a couple weeks ago, one of the episodes, the topic was stirred up in me because of a conversation that I had with somebody.

00:10:37.457 --> 00:12:05.145
And you're right. You can tell when one of us is passionate about a verse because we go a little bit longer, we get a little bit louder, we get a little bit more animated, you know? And so I think, for me, my topics are always going to be something that I receive from the word. But then when I am sitting with somebody and I'm listening to their issues or what they're struggling with or what they're contemplating through, I. I try to say, okay, whatever advice I give them or whatever Bible verse I use to encourage them, let me use that verse in the show. I feel like it's actually really working. Yeah, that's good. And I will say, I don't know if this happens to you guys, but I don't pick verses as, like, probably as thoughtful as you guys. I go to my Bible app, and I'm always highlighting verses. Cause I'm just always listening to it, and I'm like, oh, that's good, and I'll highlight it. So, actually, when I'm searching for verses for my morning devotional, I'll go to my highlighted section and I'll just scroll, and I'm like, that's a good one. That's a good one. Smart and then I'll do more research, kind of, on the verse in the context of it, and then I'll speak on that. But I don't know why this happens to me every time. Like, me and Rachelle spoke on confidence, trust and faith. And then the week that it aired, I was struggling so much. Crazy in faith. Really confident. And I was like, why does. And I was so chill and confident doing the teaching. And then the week it aired, I was, like, so lacking all those things. That's, like, the things.

00:12:05.289 --> 00:12:23.289
And it wasn't until that week was over where we were in church and everybody was like, your podcast. Thank you so much. It was so great. It was so helpful that I was like, okay, duh. Like, as I'm depositing it, of course the enemy's gonna try to, like, knock me off. Like, what I'm going through, that happens to me every single time.

00:12:23.402 --> 00:12:33.283
That's funny. Well, you gotta practice what you preach. Yeah. Right. And you'll be preaching, and you're like, this is what it is. And I'm right. And then the next day, you're struggling, and you're like, this is so much harder.

00:12:34.344 --> 00:12:48.764
The application aspect of it. Yeah. Yes. What's the next question? Um. Okay, I have this question. Do you record every day, or do you record several at one time? Do we let them in on this?

00:12:49.543 --> 00:13:20.196
I don't know. Allison, how did you do it? I did it every day. Crazy. No way. I would batch for very few occasions, like my honeymoon, I batched and maybe, like, a random week here and there. But I would do it every day before I would go to bed over Christmas. Every night. Every night. My sister's wedding. So I. When I started the show, I lived with roommates, so it was impossible to record until everybody went to sleep.

00:13:20.299 --> 00:13:23.812
Okay. Wow. And so I would wait until they would go to sleep, and then

00:13:23.827 --> 00:13:38.331
00 in the morning, I would record, and I became, like, a night owl. Yeah. So I did that for probably, like, two years when Manny and I, when we got married. Then we moved in, I was

00:13:38.347 --> 00:13:42.155
00 a.m. Record

00:13:42.220 --> 00:13:45.892
00 p.m.

00:13:45.947 --> 00:13:56.399
Record sessions because Manny would go to sleep a little bit earlier. But, yeah, I could not record until the house was silent. Cause I don't have a production room. And then the dishwasher's on in the background.

00:13:56.471 --> 00:14:36.453
Yeah. I mean, you would hear it. And my fridge was creaky, and I would remember, like, the creaky fridge. So, actually, now that I have a new fridge, it doesn't happen, but my old fridge would creak, and I would have to wait for it to stop creaking. So, like, when the water would stop filtering and then record quickly. No way. And then technology got better, and there's now, like, AI that filters, like, background sound, so it got better, but you can hear the progression of the show. Your cat, literally. And I would record every night. There was a short season in the very beginning when I would do it in the morning, but I didn't find that to be reliable because I sleep in.

00:14:37.073 --> 00:14:53.933
00 a.m. If it's live, then we're good. But then I said that that was. It was just not good for the ladies and the men who wake up at five in the morning to go to the gym and do that routine. So that's when I swapped it to nighttime really early on. And, yeah, it was every single day.

00:14:54.394 --> 00:15:01.097
What were you gonna say about your sister's wedding? Oh, my gosh, I forgot to batch that week. It was like, I batched, like, the first three episodes.

00:15:01.145 --> 00:15:18.970
So, like, for her welcome, her welcome dinner of all, like, days, I had that batch, but for the day of her wedding, I didn't. It was like a Sunday. So that Monday I had to record. So it's like midnight, it's a wedding. And I'm like, I can't record right now. I'm like, there's no way I can record right now.

00:15:19.001 --> 00:15:39.553
So I had to go to sleep and set an alarm for four in the morning, wake up, record it in the closet of the hotel. Oh, my gosh, no. And then go back to sleep. Or no video. No video. Just sound. Just audio. You're insane every day. Good insane every day. My grace today is. God created the heavens and the earth.

00:15:41.214 --> 00:15:45.014
You're alive today. But I think that's. I think that's a testament.

00:15:45.053 --> 00:16:42.153
And I remember you telling us this back when we asked you, you were running the show, and we asked you, how is it being so successful, or how has it become? And you told us, guys, consistency is key. You have to do it every day. And now we're seeing this wasn't a show that just got God's favor, and God put his hand and it just exploded. It's consistent. That's part of it. Yeah, but you were consistent, and you decided that if I'm gonna do this, then this is gonna be a daily thing. And now you're seeing the fruit of that labor and, oh, my gosh, staying up till past midnight and waking up at four in the morning. But you're seeing. That's how you've gained this audience. That's how you've been able to now pass it on. Not many shows survive when it changes hosts. Yeah, yeah. But you're seeing how, because of your consistency now, we're like, we can't mess this up. We've got to stay just as consistent. And so I think that's really cool. Wow, that's. That just speaks of your passion for it more than. Yeah, I mean, that's.

00:16:42.193 --> 00:16:56.649
I mean, essentially, I think that that's. It was the obedience to doing it every day. But then also on the hard days, I would show up crying and there was just nothing that I can do because I had to record. So they hurt my heart.

00:16:56.802 --> 00:17:08.410
I mean, they really hurt my heart on those days because there was, like, back in December of 2022, my dad had a terrible relapse, and they've walked through different relapses with me. It was a terrible relapse.

00:17:08.442 --> 00:17:24.713
I'm talking about, you know, calling the cops, evacuating home, like, the whole works, and I had to come home and record, and there's just nothing that I can do. So. You know what I love about that, though, Allison? You are the epitome of a real normal Christian.

00:17:27.334 --> 00:17:38.897
That's why people really, really are attracted to this devotional and they're attracted to you, is because you're the real deal. You've walked through life, you've made mistakes, but you've been consistent with the Lord. You've.

00:17:39.026 --> 00:18:45.119
You've forgiven yourself, you've forgiven others. You've just made all of your wrongs right. You've. You call on God in the most authentic, true ways. You're true to yourself. You don't. You don't try to be somebody you're not. You are who you are, you and your husband, and that's what makes you. But filled with the holy spirit. And you make room for the holy spirit to grow you, too. And that's what makes you guys so, like, real. Yeah, you're. I love y'all's testimony because you guys. Are the real deal. You don't try to be pastors. You don't try to be, like, the perfect christians. You're normal people who apply the biblical principle of consistency and. And teachability, and look at the. The fruit that it's produced. Yeah. That you've been able to bless us with. So I just love how you guys do it because you guys are the real deal. You. You never fake it. You remind people that the christian walk is supposed to be normal. It's hard, but it's normal. And everything that you go through is normal. And the downfalls, the imperfections and just the rallying of people, it's all normal. This is what life is about.

00:18:45.192 --> 00:18:56.048
Yeah. And just because life is hard doesn't mean you give up on what the Lord's called you to do. Yeah. And that's the lesson in that. That in the hard days, and they all saw the hard days.

00:18:56.096 --> 00:19:18.183
Recent, what you went through recently, you and Nanny, they were along for that journey, and they can say, okay, every morning I'm hearing from a girl who pushes past all of the trials and all the tribulations she goes through to encourage me, because that's what you're doing, is you're encouraging others. If she can get past this for five minutes, then I can get past what I'm going through. Yeah.

00:19:18.223 --> 00:19:19.523
And I think that's the.

00:19:22.943 --> 00:19:48.192
But I think that's the. The testimony and all of this. And the Lord's going to bless that. He had. He has already blessed it. But we just know, like, the verse of the day, there's a thousand more blessings that are coming y'all's way because you. You consistently put this audience that you don't know, you don't see. Yeah. You hear from on instagram, but you don't know their stories. Yeah. You don't know where they come from, but you push past all of that. And you multiply what God has given you.

00:19:48.248 --> 00:20:03.003
Yeah. Which is the parable of the talents. When God gave you guys five coins, you turned it into ten coins. And that is what God. That's why God trusts you with an audience like this, because you'll continue to multiply it. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you, guys.

00:20:03.124 --> 00:21:04.347
I appreciate it. Well, and for those wondering, we do not do it every day. We record multiple a day. Yeah. So, Alex, we've got major respect for you. We do. Yeah. We get into the studio, two of us get in, and what we usually do is we'll do ten episodes in one sitting, and we'll have. And that's why you see it even in the schedule. But we'll say, Lauren and Rochelle, you guys will do ten episodes. Lauren will host ten while. Sorry, Lola will host five while Rochelle does the devo of five. And then they'll swap, and then Rochelle will do the hosting and Lauren will do the Devo. And so we usually, once the last episode is done. You're like, your brain is just fried. I can't think. I think I need to go back to work. Yeah. But I don't think I can do it. Yeah, we do it in our work day. In the middle of our work day. Yeah, but we do. We still go back to work. I think that that's why it was hard for me to batch. When I would try it, like, two to three episodes. I just didn't have much else to say.

00:21:04.435 --> 00:21:14.864
Yeah. So that's why it had to be a daily thing for me and also for me personally, when things would happen. Like, let's assume I batched Fridays. I already did Mondays.

00:21:15.183 --> 00:21:48.352
And then over the weekend, Israel was attacked. So on Monday, I already, like, had that episode. How do I talk about that? Then they have to wait for Tuesday for my response. So that was the only thing that, you know, it helps doing that. But also. And we talked about it, the last couple of recordings we've had that we. If you. If we're calling it batched, when we've done it, we noticed by, like, day four, we're repeating what we said day two, because you're just in the same train of thought, and we have to tell ourselves, wait, you're not talking about.

00:21:48.488 --> 00:21:52.135
Tuesday was about encouraging people. Today's about taking correction. Okay.

00:21:52.200 --> 00:22:14.364
These are very two different things, and we got to keep them different. So even at that, it's good because it's a continuation of what you're learning. Yeah. It's true. It's reminding them. And it's crazy how even though we record some of these ahead of time. Well, we record them ahead of time. The theme of how they all just fall into place every time. It's.

00:22:14.443 --> 00:22:43.105
That's what, you know, like, God is in it. Yeah. Because there will be a week when you talk about this, and then somebody comes that week, and they're like, I really need to hear that today. We recorded that two weeks ago. Yeah. Say God knows what kind of how to. We just come and we just say, yes, we come with our themes, and somehow it all works out. Exactly. And it's. I think it's a good balance of not being swayed by culture. Yeah. Because the Bible still says the same thing.

00:22:43.259 --> 00:23:01.445
The Bible doesn't change, you know, but also, the Lord works it out to where if something does happen in the world, somehow it lines up with what the verse of the day was. Yeah. It was two weeks before God. And that's where you go, wow, this is really a show that's led by the Lord. We are just obedient like you were.

00:23:01.549 --> 00:23:19.044
And we come into the room and we come with our verses prepared, but the Lord aligns it to where we're not being too much of, like, news. Yeah. And I felt that, too. I was like, I don't want. I never wanted the show to be about that. Yeah. I always wanted it to be about the day and how you can apply scripture for the day.

00:23:19.124 --> 00:24:13.066
Yeah. And when it became. Or if it ever became too news, per se, or, like, oh, I owe you a prayer for this. Like, there was once that there was a shooting somewhere, unfortunately. And I remember getting, like, messages, like, oh, you didn't talk about that. And I felt convicted, almost, like, should I have talked about that? But also, no, because how I can't report on every single daily, like, worldly event. I have to stay in my lane, and I'm not a preacher, which is what Steph had mentioned earlier. And that was actually something that I struggled with over the last four years. I'm not a pastor. You know, these are my personal prayers, and then you get what you get. It's true. I notice it's called a my morning devoid. Yeah, yeah. What is the point of this? That leads me to my next question, which we had. I was just gonna go ahead. This is perfect.

00:24:13.210 --> 00:25:59.859
Have you ever had a verse or a topic that you were afraid to talk about? Yeah, there have been certain topics that I either didn't feel equipped to. So I'd have to really research, and I would find myself on those days, like an hour in and Manny's like, are you done recording it? I'm like, this is such a great chapter of the Bible. And because I didn't. I wasn't equipped for the first. When it first jumped out of me, so I had to read it in context and learn it in context so that, you know, would push me out of my comfort zone, but it also sharpened me further. So I would say that, you know, that would happen other times, like January 6. That's so fantastic. That was hard because that was actually a world event that stopped everybody in their tracks, and it was a big deal. So I had to address that to everybody because we are christian and there is a right way to doing life. And I felt to my audience that that was owed my perspective on the situation. And so I think I did the best I could that day, but that was a hard day. Yeah, we said it even before this. Not everybody's going to agree with our opinion or our view of things, but at the same time, as long as we stick to, well, this is what the word of God says. Then if you're a Bible believer and you're a Christ follower, then we can at least agree on what the word says. We don't need to agree on the same worldview or political view. I love when you guys talked about discerning of the spirits and you guys kept saying, oh, here's the day. Today's the day that we're gonna be talking about. That podcast is released. This is a heavy topic. Can I tell you something? Something happened in that booth that week, and I think it's cause we didn't have the cameras on us. We just went goofy.

00:26:00.051 --> 00:26:02.864
Happy taco Tuesday. We're talking about spirits.

00:26:03.963 --> 00:26:10.900
We just, like, let loose. Like, it was deep, but we were goofy. Thank God. Yeah. And that was funny enough.

00:26:10.932 --> 00:27:23.778
That was the one that I was nervous of in the moment. I didn't think about it, and I was, like, going for it. And then I walked out. I walked out and I was like, I probably should have sat on that one a little bit. But I think it goes back to, like, what we keep saying. There's a reason why the Lord points out those verses to us and why those verses speak to us, because we are in a day where you have to check the spirit of what's going on. And so I kept. I think I said, like antichrist, like, three or four times in those seven minutes, but I was nervous. But then it was. It was one of those things where I got no bad feedback, so I was like, okay, lord, I'm just gonna go. You can't tell me that the general audience doesn't want to go deep. When our solar eclipse was coming and we were like, I need to know, on TikTok, does this mean that Jesus is coming back? And how does it correlate with all this stuff? People like deep topics. They like it well. And can I also say if. If, like, if you're a listener, and I know I've had to do this before, but if there's, like, sort of an unction in my spirit where it's like, did that offend me? Did that make me feel a certain way of conviction? That can be a way that the. Holy Spirit's like, go further. Go do research. Yeah.

00:27:23.826 --> 00:28:18.554
So that's not necessarily a bad thing. And it's not that you're getting offended. It's maybe you picked up on something you're not used to and nobody's told you before, and it's conviction and that's causing you to go deeper. With Christ. So that's not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe nobody's ever told you, like, check the spirits. I know it was a simple one, but I was like, guys, can we redo it? And it was, the one with wisdom is far more precious than rubies or gold. And I was like, guys, I need to read you that. I did not word that the way I wanted to, because sometimes it's like you were saying, it's such a deep topic, you don't feel qualified to speak on it because you're like, I don't know that people are going to get my heart behind this. But again, if you're a listener and you're like, I don't know if I agreed with that holy. But it's good for you to kind of disagree, because that causes you to say, hey, maybe the Holy Spirit's working in me to go further and to do my own research into the word of God. Yeah. Yeah. And I think what we're seeing with the feedback, I mentioned it earlier.

00:28:20.294 --> 00:28:46.009
If. A fan from South Africa can listen to this podcast and hear our heart and be able to tell the difference and in our voices or in our personalities, and we really, like, we're still new at all this, we haven't really shown our full personalities yet. And the stories and our life. If she can already discern what we are like, then it is showing you that God is using this.

00:28:46.082 --> 00:29:00.958
God is going forth, preparing the hearts of our listeners, the ears of our listeners, and we're communicating who we are without having to tell them who we are. Yes. And so that's part of it. Rachelle, have you had one that you were nervous about?

00:29:01.125 --> 00:29:11.273
I think just the first week alone was like, no, no, no. The first time I ever recorded a devotional, I just walked. Cause we're used to the.

00:29:12.334 --> 00:29:15.981
She's got a call. She got a call. Go, stay. Go. We got you.

00:29:16.117 --> 00:29:19.733
So, I'm used to the format of the family business podcast.

00:29:19.814 --> 00:29:29.241
Yeah. And even though I'm a person of, like, I'll start it again. Start with, yeah, we're used to. You're good.

00:29:29.377 --> 00:29:32.854
I hate the non happen. Oh, my God. Oh, blow the speaker.

00:29:36.233 --> 00:30:48.044
All right. And so I'm just used to that format of the family business podcast. And even though I'm always like, I only have a few words to say. I'm, like, used to that format. I was not used to that five minute episode. And I remember getting the podcast. Podcast with Alice, and they're like, okay, are you ready? And I'm like, so what are we doing? And it was like 1 minute explanation and we just jumped right in and I was like, oh, this is like serious stuff because when you have a lot of time, you can take your time to explain, to say, but when you have five minutes, you need to make sure that one, you have a good verse and what you're saying is straight to the point and then you're praying for somebody. And honestly. So that in just the first week, Alan was like, yeah, now you're having to come out with your own topics. And I was just like, what am I gonna say? I don't have anything to say. But once you start going back to your verses that some of your favorites, what you've been going through, it came more natural. And what I loved about this podcast, it was like, this is just a moment to be real with everybody, so I don't have to go try to find something super deep. What are you just going through right now with the Lord? What are some things that you love?

00:30:48.213 --> 00:32:13.574
And that just made it easier. But, yeah, just the whole starting the experience was, like, scary for me. Yeah. Because it's out of our comfort zone. Yeah. I think you have the last question. No, it's Lola. Oh, I have the last question. All right. So does the host or the speaker come up with the daily theme collaboration? And I think this is like, we can, because we already answered this similar, but we can look at, like, the titles. Oh, yeah. Which is a funny. Oh, my God. There's some funny titles which, to clarify in case they didn't get it, usually the host does not come up with the theme. The speaker comes up and the verse. Yeah. Whoever's doing the devo that week will do that. But Allison, you. It was all Alison. It was just me. I came up with the title. I came up with the scripture verse. So what was your. Can you remember one of your, like. Favorite funny titles or favorite funny titles? No, off the top of my head. You know, you would think I could. Right? Because there's 955 of them that I did. I think I realized you weighted the question. There is one that sticks, like top of mind strap in, which is not a funny, like, it's not a funny, like title, but it was strap in because I was talking about how when you go through the roller coaster of life, if you're not, like, with your hardness, you know, tragedy. So you would need. You would need the word.

00:32:15.233 --> 00:32:33.374
You would need the word of God. So you just strap in. So I remember that one. That's a good one. It's funny. Because during the day, I'll think of, like, a funny pun and I'm like, oh, that's so cool. Cause I love words. I just really, most of the day, I'm just thinking of, like, lines and rhymes and stuff. Cause, you know, I'm like a rapper.

00:32:35.634 --> 00:32:45.834
I'm a wordsmith. I just love all of it. No, but I'll think of a pun and I'm like, oh, my gosh, that's a title. That's a title. And I'll write it down and I'll. Try to keep it for when. Yeah.

00:32:45.993 --> 00:33:03.753
It's so hard to think of it on the spot. It never comes. I would say that at the beginning it was easier for me because I would write them before I would record them. So writing them, I would already know for like, foreshadow what I would say. Yes. So I had the title. I've been doing that. Brilliant. I have my next one.

00:33:06.693 --> 00:33:49.635
Yes. Stephanie, wait. I have to say it. I have to. It's up to no good. But instead of no, it's kno w I'm up to knowing more. Good. Tune in next week. Whatever 70 is scheduled next. Well, ladies, look, we're coming in for a landing here. That's another good. Coming in for a landing. I don't know if anybody wants to write that down for no, but this has really been, been special. Allison, we want to thank you again. We want to thank all of our listeners for watching this and for listening to this podcast. It's been a fun episode as we celebrate 1000 episodes. Thank you guys for having me. Yes. All right, ladies, well, here's to 1000.

00:33:49.700 --> 00:33:53.163
Episodes and a thousand more. And a thousand more with our coffee.
