You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1015. Today's episode is called Be strong. Hey, there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.797 --> 00:00:37.469
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Well, we've made it to the end of the week. Happy Friday. Happy Friday.

00:00:37.661 --> 00:00:40.793
It is officially Friday. Thank God it's Friday.

00:00:41.253 --> 00:00:44.917
And as your host, Gabby, I have so enjoyed being in the podcast.

00:00:45.006 --> 00:00:52.341
Rochelle, you have killed it this week. Thank you. How do you feel coming to the end? I feel great. I'm actually really excited to talk about this one.

00:00:52.398 --> 00:01:10.680
Good. I am. Well, you know what I love about this week? It's all been about if you're worried, if you're stressed, if you're burdened, cast it upon the Lord. Don't go in your own strength. You are strong because he makes you strong. God's present with you. He's our helper. So I'm just. I think this is a beautiful week.

00:01:10.712 --> 00:02:16.924
In the timeliness of this theme, I think it's right on point, and it's on time. And how about you just. You wrap it up today with a beautiful bow, put a cherry on top, and send us into the weekend. Let's do it. The title is be strong, and it's from psalm 20 714. But before I go into, I just encourage everybody, go read the entire psalm. This psalm is probably one of my favorite psalms in the entire Bible, and I'm gonna end it with the last verse. But the entire psalm is so powerful, you can read it, and it will just turn your day around, because you get to see everything that God is for you, and then you're like, I can do it. And psalm 20 414 says, wait for the Lord, and be strong, and let your heart take courage. Wait for the Lord. We all know that waiting seasons are not exciting. Whatever waiting season you are, some of us are waiting season to find somebody. You might be in the waiting season to get engaged. You might be in the waiting season to have a baby or finding that job you need.

00:02:17.003 --> 00:03:16.096
But we all experience a waiting season. And in that waiting season, it's so easily to just grow discouraged and unhappy, and you're just not motivated because you haven't gotten what you want, or you might feel like you're not where you want to be. And you've been praying to God all this time, and all you feel like is just getting through things, enduring things. But the Bible says that you have to wait for the Lord and to be strong, which shows waiting is for the strong, not for the weak. And when you're waiting, it makes you stronger. But the Bible says be strong, which means it's something that you already are. You just have to act on it. And so if you're waiting for something, be strong, be confident and say, it's gonna come. And I'm gonna have the courage to be strong and wait for the Lord. Because what God has for me is so much better than what I could ever feel or see.

00:03:16.240 --> 00:03:35.223
At this moment, my vision might be limited, but I am going to pray that God gives me spirit like, spiritual vision, spiritual eyes to see, spiritual eyes to see what could come. But I think that comes through you being strong and saying, I'm going to be courageous and be strong and wait for the Lord.

00:03:35.383 --> 00:03:39.117
I'm not going to make it happen for myself. I'm not going to settle.

00:03:39.295 --> 00:03:46.626
I'm not gonna also be in this season and be sad and be ungrateful and just kind of get through it.

00:03:46.729 --> 00:04:08.211
No, me being strong means I'm gonna get up and I'm just gonna do it. Yeah, I'm gonna do the hard things and I'm gonna trust in the Lord with everything I have. I'm gonna trust him. And when I don't feel like trusting him, I'm gonna get around somebody that helps me trust him. When I don't feel like doing it, I'm gonna sit down and read all these verses and encourage myself in the Lord.

00:04:08.348 --> 00:04:15.867
Not encouraging myself through social media or encouraging myself through buying myself something or whatever that might be.

00:04:15.915 --> 00:04:37.672
Whatever we find kind of safety in those moments, I'm going to find it all in God, because as I wait, I want to wait with him. I'm not going to wait on my own, and I'm not going to make it happen for myself. So we are able to be strong to wait for the Lord to. To have everything that he wants us to have, because he knows the desires of our hearts and it's just a matter of time.

00:04:37.767 --> 00:04:48.603
Amen. That is so good. And, you know, when it comes to waiting and when it comes to praying and requesting something of God and waiting for him to answer that, for those of us listening, we don't just want.

00:04:49.504 --> 00:05:03.740
We don't want just anything. We don't want just an average guy. We don't want just, you know, we don't want just the baby. We want the blessing with the thing we're waiting for. We want a blessed husband. We want a baby that comes with purpose and with promise.

00:05:03.891 --> 00:06:16.278
We want a house that comes with a blessing, a house that isn't just a home that works well. No, we want a home that we can fill, that we can bless other people with. And if we want the blessing attached to the thing we're waiting for, that's when you got to wait for what God has for you, because God brings the blessing. And we don't want just an average thing like, oh, just bring me a husband, Lord. No, we want a strong husband that is led by God and that's also following the spirit. And so sometimes it might take a little bit longer, but in the meantime, keep your head down or keep your eyes on the things above and wait for God to bring that. That's so good. And it's all about being strong. Rochelle, you said it's all about being. That and we can be strong. Amen. Pray for us. Let's do it. Father God, thank you so much for getting us through this week. Thank you for another great week of just you being strong for us. And I just pray right now, Father, that you will continue to give us the confidence to see that we can do everything through you, Father. Yes. That you are sustaining us, that you are helping us. And because of that, we're able to be strong as we wait for you, because we want to wait for you and for what you have for us, because we know that that's the best we could ever get.

00:06:16.406 --> 00:06:19.394
In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen.

00:06:21.973 --> 00:06:25.413
So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven.
