You're listening to my morning devotional podcast, episode 1102. Today's Devo is called dwelling in his house. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.
00:00:21.893 --> 00:00:32.780
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and happy Tuesday.
00:00:32.939 --> 00:01:27.903
Welcome to another episode. My name is Rochar Alessi, and I get the privilege of being with you today. We're trying something a little bit new this week, like I mentioned yesterday. So we're going over psalm 27. We're going to go over two to three verses a day, and by the end of the week, we would have read the entire psalm 27 verse, and we're going to see the impactful truth that there is in the entirety of this verse. And so my homework for you yesterday was that before you listen to this episode, that you would read the verses from yesterday. So if you haven't, take a pause right now, open up your Bible and open psalm 27 and just read verse one through three. And once you're done with that, jump right back on. I'll be right here waiting for you. And we're going to go over psalm 27, verses four through five today. So let's read it.
00:01:27.992 --> 00:03:28.765
One thing. Have I asked of the Lord that I will seek after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble, he will conceal me under the COVID of his tent, and he will lift me high upon a rock. This verse is so, so encouraging. In the middle of your day, while you're driving, while you're cooking, while you're taking care of your kids, while you're before you're going to go into a meeting, anything that you're doing today, don't open just the Bible and hear today's podcast, and then put it away and forget about it. I encourage you that in whatever moment you are, either alone or before, you're gonna do something important, that you just remember this verse. If you wanna write it down on your journal before anything so you almost remember it. I encourage you to do that. The point of this week is for us to really dwell with the Lord, to meditate in his word. And this verse says that we wanna dwell in the house of the Lord forever. And a way that we really do that is by meditating on his word daily. So I encourage you once again, open up your bible, read this verse, and throughout the day, whatever you are doing, meditate on this verse. Talk to. Talk about this verse with somebody that you know, one of your friends, one of your leaders, your mom, your dad, whoever. Sit down at your table and just say, hey, today I read this verse and just start to talk about what this verse is convicting you of or what it's speaking you directly to talk about it. And also, like we mentioned, you can share it with us. We would love to hear how this verse is impacting you today. So let's pray. Father God, we just want to thank you because you allow us to be in your presence daily by my. By meditating in your word, Father.
00:03:28.877 --> 00:04:02.008
Like this verse says, Father, we want to see seek your face today. So today, the most important thing is, Lord, that we're going to dwell with you at all times through the day. And I pray that you are with us and every single listener as they meditate today, God, on you, that you will speak to them, that you will be with them, that you will protect them, and just be with them wherever they are. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today.
00:04:02.144 --> 00:04:17.300
