Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 1 Kings 19:3-5 which says "3 Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, 4 while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” 5 Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.”
"Today I encourage you to look at what scares you and I want you to repeat the following Psalms. Repeat these words, find a melody to match them and sing the power of his freedom over your fear.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.
Psalm 34:4
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1"
