Good Things

Can you recall a time when you felt the Lord working in your life despite not feeling His immediate presence?

In today’s devotional, titled “Good Things,” Richelle Alessi joins us to share a powerful message about the beauty of Romans 8:28. She reminds us that for those who love God, all things work together for good. This verse is an anchor of hope, affirming that the Lord is constantly working on our behalf, even when we can’t immediately see it.

You're listening to my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1194. Today's Devo is called Good Things. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida.

00:00:14.423 --> 00:00:29.463
And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast.

00:00:29.591 --> 00:00:55.076
Good morning, everybody. Happy Thursday. I hope that you guys are having a wonderful week and the weekend is almost here, so just push through the next couple of days because it's probably been. Actually, no, it's been a great week. From what we talked about yesterday, it's going to be a great year. And I pray that today is a great day for you. I am Rachelle Alessi, and I get the privilege of being with you guys this week. And the verse

00:00:55.107 --> 00:01:20.888
28. And it says, and we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. This is such a beautiful verse because it says, for those who love God, all things work out together for their good. And this is just a reminder that the Lord is working for us. He's working things out for us.

00:01:21.084 --> 00:01:39.391
And the truth is, I don't have a lot to say because I want this verse to speak for itself today for you. And I really pray that the Holy Spirit just shows you how he's working on your behalf, how he's with you in situations where you feel that you might be alone.

00:01:39.536 --> 00:02:11.647
If you love the Lord, he is with you and you are not alone. And he wants to make sure that. That you get everything that you need. And this verse has been such a great encourager for me in my life to know that even in my lowest moments or when I don't feel my best, I know that the Lord is working. And I don't have to necessarily feel it, but I'm going to believe it wholeheartedly. The deepest part of me, I'm going to believe that the Lord is working all things for my good.

00:02:11.783 --> 00:02:41.822
And so just. I encourage you today to even maybe go back and some of the moments where you thought it was a hard moment and the Lord came through for you. Because when we just remember what the Lord has done, it gives us a little extra gas in our tank to remember he's going to do it again. And this year I am believing that it will be a year where the Lord works things out for your good as you give your life to Christ. You say, lord, I'm serious about being, being with you.

00:02:41.846 --> 00:02:45.129
Every day he gets serious about being with you too.

00:02:45.430 --> 00:04:51.279
And he's gonna answer prayers. He's going to show you things in this year that you probably would have never thought he would have done so fast. But it's because you're saying, lord, I'm trusting you. And when the Lord sees that you're giving him your all, he's just, okay, let's go. I'm here. And he's always there. But now you're actually even able to hear and see different because you're not seeing with eyes of can't or disappointment, but you're actually now seeing and hearing with the eyes and ears of the Lord can do it. And he's going to do it again. And that allows you to see things that you could not see before. Things that probably have been here already, but because we didn't, we were not properly aligned, we couldn't see it. But when you do that, you'll be surprised on how you see how God is right next to you, working a lot of these things out for you. Just make sure that you are in his word and spending time with him every day. Because that is what truly makes a difference in our life. We cannot do this alone. The Lord needs to be our everything and where we get our everything from. So let's just pray this morning. Morning. Dear Father God, we just thank you for another day. But we want to say, Lord, that we commit to letting you be our all this year. Not just because you can do good things for us. We're not here because you can do things. So we're going to be with you. We're here because we love you. And in return, Father, you are a good father and you work things out for us. But we commit to saying, this year I'm going to see things knowing that the Lord can do all things that he is with me. Every single time I get a thought that is not right, Father, I'm just going to remind myself of who you are. That nothing out there in my mind or physically is stronger or more powerful than you. And because of that, Lord, we just say, we love you, we want to worship you, and we give you our all. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

00:04:51.939 --> 00:05:12.699
