You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1009. Today's Devo is called he brings it to pass. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.309 --> 00:00:44.409
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody. Thanks so much for tuning in. My name is Stephanie Moena, and I'm here with my sister, Lauren Alessi. Hello, everybody. And she is doing an incredible job talking about peace this week.

00:00:44.481 --> 00:01:58.579
Thank you. We all need this. You have just brought so much depth and revelation to the peace of God. So, Lauren, please take it away. Your devo called, he brings it to pass. Do we? Yes. So I came across this verse. I'm trying to read through the Old Testament, and I came across this verse, and it's second kings, 1925. Have you not heard that? I determined it long ago. I planned from days of old. What now I bring to pass that you should turn fortified cities into heaps of ruin. So again, just some context of this verse. This is in two kings, where if you've never read second kings, it's talking about all the different kings of, you know, Judah and Israel and all the different lands. And this is Isaiah prophesying Zinakarib's fall. King Zinakarib's fall. And he's prophesying it to King Hezekiah, who is a good king, and he's prophesying the bad kings, Zenacharib's fall. And so if you kind of reread it with that context, that Isaiah, a godly prophet, is speaking to a godly king, letting him know of, hey, this bad king, he's going to fall and God's going to deliver him into your hands. This is what he says. Again, have you not heard that? I determined it long ago. I planned from days of old.

00:01:58.691 --> 00:03:15.563
What now I bring to pass that you should turn fortified cities into heaps of ruin. And I really love this verse because not only does it mention that God will bring things to pass, but that God has determined it long ago. Because we know God is faithful, we know God brings things to pass. And I know that's the title of this episode, but I think what brings me peace is sort of God's tone in this verse through this prophecy. And it's that, have you not heard like, I already planned this long ago. This has been in the works, and I really, really love reading it through this context of, like, this is how it's gonna happen. I bring this to pass. This is already gonna happen. But not just that, because I am faithful. God is faithful, but this has already been planned years before. I've already thought of this. I've already thought of everything. So don't worry. Don't be anxious or afraid about anything. Cause I've already thought through all of this, and this verse just brings me so much peace. And I hope it brings everybody listening peace. Because if you're facing something that brings you anxiety, if you're facing a waiting season, that you're like, I just kind of don't know what to do with my body, with my mind, with my hands, like. Like, I have run out of things to do.

00:03:15.723 --> 00:03:30.548
Just let God bring you peace, that not only will he bring it to pass, because God is faithful, but God has planned the ending from the beginning. God has known what the ending looks like since he started the creation.

00:03:30.675 --> 00:04:44.050
So he wouldn't have started you on this journey if he didn't know what the ending looked like. Yeah. And again, the certainty in God's voice, have you not heard that I determined it long ago. I planned from days of old. What now I bring to pass. Crazy. I pray that you hear that over your own life. Whatever you're facing, whatever is bringing you confusion, anxiety, whatever's keeping you up at night, let this just sort of ring in your ears that God is saying this over you. I planned from days of old. What now I bring to pass? And have you not heard that? I determined it long ago. The thing you're praying for, the thing you're anxious about, God's already gonna bring it to pass. Don't worry about it. And not only that, he's already planned it from long ago. And so I just pray that that brings you some sort of peace and some sort of clarity as you wait out the season and that you don't get confused and anxious in the waiting. That's beautiful. Lord, can you close us out in prayer? Yes, of course. Dear Lord, we thank you that even the peace we feel right now in the room, God, as we're talking about peace, we just thank you for that. And I pray for all the listeners listening that they hear our heart, that they hear our cry, Lord, that they hear that. Lord, you want your children to be at peace. You don't want your children to be filled with anxiety and confusion because you are a God.

00:04:44.081 --> 00:05:05.134
Of peace. You are not a God of confusion. You are not a God of war. You are a God of peace. And you want your children to be at peace. So, Lord, let them be at peace with this. That what you are bringing them through, you have already planned from days of old, and it already has a great ending, Lord, that you have already set in store for them. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

00:05:06.954 --> 00:05:10.418
So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven.
