You're listening to the my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1014. Today's episode is called I won't be moved. Hey, there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Well, we made it to Thursday, everybody. Yes, it's a beautiful, beautiful week.
00:00:37.201 --> 00:01:01.625
We hope you have had. We pray that you've had a wonderful week. This is your host, Gabby Alessi, for this week, and I am with Rochelle Alessi, who has been doing an amazing job just hosting us and speaking to us and leading us this week. How are you feeling today, Rochelle? I'm feeling great. I feel like you got a really good one. Yeah. So, just so everybody knows, to give people some background, we don't really discuss the verses.
00:01:01.770 --> 00:01:27.117
We don't at all with each other before some of us do. But today, I'll say this whole week, we have not prepared one another for the verses that we have or for the verses that you have. So you're getting my real reaction as it comes. It's a live response. And so if I have been talking too much and responding, it's because I'm like, wow, that is so good, Rochelle. I have to just add my two cent because it's been so good.
00:01:27.165 --> 00:02:04.703
So I'm excited to hear this one today. And just so you know, it's all live. But again, so we have been hearing your feedback. Everybody that's listening, we want to thank you for messaging us and for your responses and just telling us how much this podcast has blessed you, because it's a blessing to us. And if you are listening to this podcast, you can actually scroll all the way down and you can find a text number. So we're actually getting to texts from everybody, and if you want to message us, you could do it right there, wherever you're listening to it. And you can actually personally text our show. And we actually got a text from Delaware.
00:02:04.864 --> 00:02:29.806
Somebody in Delaware. Hello, from Delaware. Hi, Delaware. Yeah, I'm gonna be completely honest. I don't know where Delaware is on the map. Me neither. But I've heard about it. Rochelle is from Costa Rica. She was born in Costa Rica, so. And I'm born in Miami, so I should know better. But, yeah. So, Delaware, wherever you are located, thank you for listening. Thank you for listening. Maybe one day we'll go over there. Maybe we'll go just to say we did. Yes.
00:02:29.909 --> 00:02:33.074
I still probably won't know where I'm at in the country.
00:02:34.774 --> 00:02:42.358
All right, so, Rochelle, take us into today's Devo, because obviously, we are not geographically. See, I can't even say the word geographically.
00:02:42.406 --> 00:02:53.277
We're a little challenged, but not biblically. Yes. And that is what matters. All right, so let's do it. Today's verse is psalm 55 22.
00:02:53.406 --> 00:04:46.994
And it says, cast your burden on the Lord and he will sustain you. He will never permit the righteous to be moved. This verse, honestly, it's so powerful just on its own because it says to cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. And just with the same theme that we've been talking all week long, God really wants to help us, and if there's anything that's burdening us, we just need to give it to the Lord. Yeah. And sometimes this plays out differently in your lives. I really remember a time where I was just really burdened for my father. Like, there's things that I. I wanted to do for him, but I couldn't do for him. Yeah. But I just. I wanted him to have certain things so bad. Yeah. And that was just weighing so heavy on me. And I really. When I read this verse, I just remember saying, if there's something that is burdening me, it means that I might not be able to do something about it, but God can. Yeah. And so I just need to give it to the Lord, and he will sustain me, and he will sustain my father. And whatever area of your life that you might feel heavy on something, just know you need to give it to the Lord because he's the one that can do something about it. Our job, really, is to pray about it, to do our best. And if there's something we can do, you do it. But if really, if it's out of your hands, you need to give it to God, because that just means there's something that he can have. He can create a miracle from, and he's the one that has everything to do it. We really are limited beings, and even though we try to do it all, there's certain things we can do. But God can do it all and he can sustain us. And what's beautiful about that is that then you won't be moved.
00:04:47.334 --> 00:06:17.363
You won't feel like you can't do certain things. You get to do life confidently, no matter what, whether it's something about you, something about somebody else, you just get to do life strong and confident, knowing that anything that comes your way, you can conquer and you can do if it's heavy or not heavy. Whatever it is, you can do it because you have God on your side and there's things that he will do for you when you can't do them. As long as you're living righteously and pursuing him and his will for your life, he will let everything else. Amen. Can you pray for us? Let's do it. Dear Father God, thank you for just being our sustainer. Thank you for just taking our burdens and truly, Father, giving us what we need. I pray that you will just give us peace today. Give us peace for the rest of the week. If there's something that somebody's entering to right now that might feel heavy or burdensome, Father, I pray that you reveal to them that you are the one that can do it and that all they have to do is pray to you and thank you for the miracle that you're going to create in their lives. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend, leave a comment or review for us on the app you're using right now. Until tomorrow, we pray that your latte is strong, but your love for Jesus is stronger.
