You're listening to my morning devotional podcast, episode 1038. Today's devote is called Jesus is perfect. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of my Morning Devo. And this week we've been talking about our foundational truths. And my name is Rochelle, and we have Stephanie leading us into this week's Devos. And they have been so great stuff. Thank you. Take it away, because I know today's will bless many. Let's do it. Jesus is perfect. And the Bible verse I want to read today is two Samuel 22 31, which says, as for God, his way is perfect. The Lord's word is flawless. He shields all who take refuge in him. This is a hard truth to wrap our brain around, especially if we are living a life that's not so perfect, if we are in a situation that's not so perfect. And I understand that it's hard to brag about how God's ways are perfect when you have given him your life and you have given control of your life to him, and things aren't looking so perfect.
00:01:28.469 --> 00:02:04.974
But then here's your challenge for today. We need to rewrite our definition of perfect. We need to relearn what perfection is. And the best way to relearn that is to ask God to show you what perfection is. Just like I spoke earlier this week about Jesus loves us. And it's hard to see how Jesus loves us if we feel unloved. And you have to ask him to show you where his love is in your life. It's the same thing with his perfection. You know, just a little bit of information about God.
00:02:05.274 --> 00:02:19.304
He's been around for a very long time. Yes, the Bible is a very old document, and it has stood the test of time. It has stood the test of thousands of generations.
00:02:20.003 --> 00:02:26.584
It has outlived men. It has outlived kingdoms. It has outlived countries.
00:02:27.003 --> 00:02:41.304
It is longer than. It's older than the country of America. It is older than most kingdoms in the world. Yet the truth still applies to your life today. Today.
00:02:41.804 --> 00:03:17.632
So that means that it has beat out so many different governments, so many different constitutions, which means it's perfect and have faith today that even though you don't sense the perfection, that the perfection is there in your life. God's perfection and God's perfect purpose and his perfect plan is at work in your life. Your redemption story, your testimony is still being written out and God's perfection is still being written out in your life.
00:03:17.768 --> 00:03:21.280
But just hold on to that truth, that God is perfect.
00:03:21.391 --> 00:03:28.711
He doesn't fail. He doesn't fail in my life. He doesn't fail in your life. His word will never return.
00:03:28.888 --> 00:04:28.863
Void. His plan will never be done in vain. It has a purpose to it because his ways are perfect. So your prayer just needs to be today. God, show me the perfection in your purpose and maybe that'll take a couple of years for us to see, but we're along for the ride because we have faith in him. He loves us, we trust him. He's never failed before and he's not going to fail again because Jesus is perfect. His ways are perfect, his tactics are perfect. They've defeated the enemy every time. Yes. And not only have they defeated, he is defeating the enemy. Yeah. So we are. We are living out our own will, but at the same time we're living out this massive story of Jesus defeating the enemy in real time. Yes. And he's doing it in your life. So just believe and trust and have faith that Jesus is perfect. Yes. And this week what you've really shown us is that we have to have faith to accept all these things.
00:04:28.944 --> 00:05:50.855
Yeah. And we can't accept him unless we have faith to believe him. And like you said, go to God and ask him. Yeah. Cause he will show you. Amen. Can you pray for us? Yes. Let's pray. God, I just pray right now that you will open our eyes to see your perfection in the everyday moments. This isn't to disregard our situation, but it's to boost our faith. It's to boost our knowledge and knowing that your ways are perfect. And God, if we question that, then show us what perfection truly is. Start to reveal to us where you are perfect, how you are perfect. Thank you for making your plan perfect in our life. And even if we experience hardship, God, we have faith knowing that your ways are perfect. They've stood the test of time and they've defeated the enemy before, so they will defeat the enemy again. They have been perfect before. They will be perfect again. Jesus, you are perfect. And we just relinquish all control to you so that you can show us your perfection again. And in Jesus name we all pray. Amen. Amen. So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend, leave a comment or review for us on the app you're using right now.
00:05:50.959 --> 00:05:55.624
Until tomorrow, we pray that your latte is strong, but your love for Jesus is stronger.
