You're listening to the my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1012. Today's podcast is called just do it. Hey, there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.
00:00:23.038 --> 00:01:17.668
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Well, welcome back to the my morning Devo. Gabby Leste, your host here for the week. And Rochelle had an amazing podcast yesterday. Rochelle, say good morning to everybody. Good morning, everybody. Thank you for listening. It's gonna be a beautiful week. It's gonna be a beautiful week. It already has been. And it's taco Tuesday, Rochelle. Yes. Oh, my God. Hopefully, everybody can go and get their tacos on this Tuesday. Usually there is, like, deals when you get tacos for, like, a dollar or $2. So we just need to find a restaurant and go. Exactly. So start preparing this morning as you're on your way to work. Where are you gonna go get a taco tonight? Because don't just go to Taco Bell. Go find a nice place to go celebrate. Real tacos. Real tacos. Well, there is somebody from Cairo, Michigan. I hope I said that city. Correct.
00:01:17.756 --> 00:01:28.945
But somebody reached out to us from Cairo, Michigan, saying they've never resonated with a devotional like this one, which is so, so cool that we're reaching people all over the country.
00:01:29.049 --> 00:03:55.990
And I even know that we are reaching people in South Africa. Like, we're worldwide. People are hearing our voices worldwide, and that is just. We are growing community. Exactly. And so thank you so much. Every single time that you message us, we're just so blessed to hear your feedback, because this is something close to our heart, and we work hard. Our producer works hard. He is. He's constantly working hard, and he's doing an incredible job. So this just makes it all worth it. Yes. So we thank you. And Rochelle's gotten another incredible word today. So, Rochelle, take it away. Let's do it. So, the devil today is called just do it. And it's based on Philippians 413, and it says, for I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. And this is actually a verse that follows the verses that we read yesterday. So I encourage everybody to just go read Philippians four, because it's just a beautiful chapter in the Bible, and I feel like it has everything you need at all times. It's beautiful. But I love this verse because it says that you can do anything through Christ, who gives you strength. And just going, based on what we talked about yesterday, sometimes in life and through the struggles that we're going through, it could be school, it could be marriage, it could be work or anything that we're going through. It's so hard sometimes to get up in the morning and just do what you have to do, the regular tasks that you have to do. You still have to get up and show up to work and do a great job. You still have to go home and be present mom and a present dad, and you still have to be a friend, and you still have to be a sister, even though you're going through all these hard things. And what this verse has encouraged me to do is I can do all these things, even though I don't feel my best, because I can do anything through Christ, because he gives me the strength to do those things. I'm not operating from a self strength that I make up myself every day. It comes from the Lord. So if anything comes from the Lord, I can truly do anything that I need to do. And if that means that today I have to get up and I have to have the best attitude for my family and my kids, even though I'm really struggling with something, it does not mean I'm being fake. It does not mean that I'm not properly processing. It just means that I'm strong enough to do this. I'm strong enough today to be happy for my family.
00:03:56.181 --> 00:05:02.846
I'm strong enough to show up to my work and do an excellent job. Not just a okay job to get through, but do my best. And I can still be a great friend, and I can still be a great daughter through the moments of me processing or going through something, because the Lord gives us the strength to do so. And so the reason why colleges do it is just even if you're going through something hard, just get up this morning and just do it. Yeah. Do the things that you have to do. Don't. Don't let the hard thing take over your life so much that you look back and say, I could have used that season better. Let that hard thing be the fuel that says, I'm gonna get through this, and I'm gonna make the best out of this season. So I just encourage everybody to let God be your strength today. Yeah. I love that. Don't do it in your strength. Yeah. If you're gonna do it. Yeah. Do it the right way and go in his strength. Yeah. And God will supply everything you need. Everything. And you know what's cool is when you do it in God's strength, you'll avoid a burnout. Yeah. If you do it in your strength, then you'll face burnout.
00:05:02.910 --> 00:05:43.694
Yeah. But when you go in God, it's because God has graced you for that place. Yes. And so do it in his strength. Do it. Amen. Let's pray over that, Rochelle. Let's do that. Dear Father God, thank you for your strength. Thank you. Because you are able to give us everything we need, even though we don't feel our best. Your word says that in our weakness moments, Father, you are the strongest. And that is just to bring you glory, not for us, but for you. That we can be a great parent. We can be a great coworker and a great sister. We can be great at what we do because you give us the strengths to do so. So even when we don't feel it, we're gonna do it. And we're gonna do it great. To bring you honor. In Jesus name we pray.
00:05:43.814 --> 00:05:45.153
Amen. Amen.
00:05:48.774 --> 00:05:52.237
So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven.
