You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1055. Today's episode is called Let it go. Hey, there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida.

00:00:15.141 --> 00:00:30.149
And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast.

00:00:30.449 --> 00:00:40.817
Happy Friday, everybody. We have reached the end of an incredible week, and we hope you've been blessed. Stephanie, you have been such a blessing this week. How are you feeling on this Friday?

00:00:40.954 --> 00:00:55.207
Oh, I'm happy it's Friday, gabs. I know. Friday. Fridays are the best days. Yes. Well, we've come to the end of this week's podcast and devotionals, so I'd love to hear this episode called Let it go. Tell us, what are we. What do I have to let go?

00:00:55.264 --> 00:01:02.735
Stephanie? The stone blows wild on the mountain tonight. Not a footprint to be seen. Oh, my God. I was like, what song is that?

00:01:02.847 --> 00:01:06.031
I don't know. What? It's frozen. It's Elsa. Let it go. You gotta sing it.

00:01:06.215 --> 00:01:12.855
No, but I love you. Hold on. I love how of all the lyrics that you could sing of the song let it go, you sing the first.

00:01:13.048 --> 00:01:56.560
Not even the let it go part. No, no, no. Cause I know for a fact all the kids listening to that part of me singing it. Oh, man, they all are singing along with me. Anyway, I am reading from proverbs 1216, and it says, fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. So, again, I wanted to be transparent with you guys this week about what I was, what I'm going through, my stretching season of my husband taking on another job and me at home with the kids and balancing family life and work life and friends life and church life. And in those stretching seasons, because you're under a lot of pressure, it is very easy to find annoyances.

00:01:57.900 --> 00:02:19.860
My kind of personality is, I will take all of the big pressures. I will carry the pressure. I'll carry the pressure. I'll carry the pressure. And big annoyances won't set me off, but I'll carry it, and I'll carry it. And then a small annoyance will set me off, and it ruins the whole day, and it ruins the whole dinner.

00:02:20.520 --> 00:02:53.556
It's that one thing, that tiny little thing, like the dishes aren't washed, that will ruin my whole mood for the entire day. And this proverb just really encourages me and it helps me stay focused when it says fools show their annoyance at once. So I can be foolish when I show my annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. That's so good. So that's my encouragement to you all today. Before the weekend. Yeah, before we get into the weekend and before we get around our friends or we go to church.

00:02:53.747 --> 00:03:16.078
I totally get it. When it is a pressure filled season, I get it. It is hard. The smallest things can trip you up. But listen, overlook an insult. Let it go. Let it go. And it's even harder when you may have people in your life that know how to really press your buttons. But let it go.

00:03:16.213 --> 00:03:59.864
You're a Christian first, you represent Jesus. And if you are feeling that pressure, let me remind you, stay peaceful, stay patient, stay graceful with everybody that you come across. Even if that person is wrong, even if that person is being annoying, just stay graceful and go back to God. Just go back to Jesus. Put on worship music and pursue Jesus. Get in your word. Read your bible, stay in prayer. Talk to him throughout the day. If something is really pressing your buttons, then just step aside and talk to Jesus and pray for peace over your heart and listen. A night out with your friends can do wonders and a vacation can help you big time.

00:04:00.032 --> 00:04:18.315
But nothing is better and more healing than just being with God and being honest with your struggles with God that can really heal you. So this weekend, pursue the Lord, overlook the insults, overlook the tiny, the tiny inconveniences and let it go.

00:04:18.468 --> 00:04:22.004
This season is temporary and things are going to get easier.

00:04:22.091 --> 00:05:16.079
Amen. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and in all your ways, acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. So let's pray. Yeah. God, I thank you so much for everything that you've given in my life and in our lives. Father, I just pray that this weekend will be a weekend full of peace, of joy, of unity with our people in our lives and that God, anything that may want to insult us or stir us up or frustrate us, God, we let it go right now and we lay it at your feet for that, for you to just completely take away from us. God, we overlook the insults, we overlook the stress, we overlook the frustrations, and we let it go, Father, so that we can walk in your peace, we can walk in your joy, and that we can have an amazing Friday and an even better weekend. And in Jesus name we all pray. Amen and amen.

00:05:17.220 --> 00:05:20.684
So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven.
