You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1135. Today's Devo is called Repeat After Me. Hey there. We're the Alesses, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida.
00:00:14.776 --> 00:00:29.783
And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast.
00:00:29.958 --> 00:00:41.238
Well, happy Friday, everybody. We've made it to the end of a very, very good week. And we just thank God for the week that we've had. We thank him for the time that we've had together.
00:00:41.406 --> 00:01:45.796
I don't know about you, but this was refreshing to me. This was encouraging to me. I needed the last couple of verses just to be reminded of the goodness of God and the things that we need to think on. Even in the hard times, we think on the good things of Jesus. I'm your host, Gabby. I'm closing it out this week, and it's just been such a blessing to be with you all. And today's going to be a little bit more of an active or interactive episode because I would like for you to repeat after me. There's a Psalm, Psalm 136, that it's about 26 verses, and each verse ends with this phrase, his love endures forever. And I think this is something that's good for all of us to remember that as we go about our day, as we go about our lives, whatever we're facing, God's love endures forever. So here's the interactive piece. If you're listening with your kids, tell them to join you. If you're listening in the car, get your listening interactive ears ready. Whatever you're doing today, repeat after me. I'm going to read a couple of these verses.
00:01:45.861 --> 00:01:49.087
You're going to see the flow, and then you're going to fill in the blank.
00:01:49.180 --> 00:02:03.427
All right? Psalm 136 says this. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of Gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of Lords.
00:02:03.570 --> 00:02:43.474
His love endures forever. All right, you ready? This is for you. To him who alone does great wonders, who by his understanding made the heavens love endure forever, who spread out the earth upon the waters, who made the great lights, the sun to govern the day, the moon and stars to govern the night, to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt and brought Israel out from among them with a mighty hand and outstretched arm.
00:02:44.935 --> 00:02:57.555
To him who divided the Red Sea as under and brought Israel through the midst of it, but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea.
00:02:58.694 --> 00:03:09.944
All right, let's finish strong. To him who led his people through the wilderness, to him who struck down great kings and killed mighty kings.
00:03:11.405 --> 00:05:11.504
Sihon, king of the Amorites and Og, king of Bashan, and gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his servant Israel. He remembered us in our low estate and freed us from our enemies. He gives good food to every creature. Here we go. Give thanks to the God of heaven because his love endures forever. Amen. And amen. Hopefully you stay along for that entire ride and you just not. You didn't leave me just being quiet on this end. But that is powerful. And that's a reminder, and I believe it's a powerful thing when we repeat the truths of God's word, that his love endures forever. And I hope that you can read this over today. I hope you would even take time to go in and read each verse at the beginning, because there's just such beautiful words here that as he's talking about God and how he's explaining God, that he's actually taking you through what God did back for the Israelites. And we said this a couple episodes ago that it's really significant when we are thanking God and we're praising Him. It's significant when you remind yourself and tell of his wonderful deeds. And that's something that we are seeing here. So we know his love endures forever. And today, let that be a reminder. Let that be on your heart. Let that be in your spirit. His love endures forever. Now, because we said it so many times, you won't be able to get it out of your head. And in fact, there is a song that Homework. Go find the song that actually has this whole his love endures forever. Find it, send it to us. Because I want to see if anybody can remember or knows what song I'm talking about. But have this message, have this line, have this statement, have this truth in your head today and in your heart. God's love endures forever. For you, for me, for our nation, for the people in your life, for our world, for those that are with him and those that are against Him.
00:05:11.545 --> 00:05:22.843
His love endures. His love endures forever. And he is a faithful, just God. And His Word stands firm. His word stays true. And we can trust Him.
00:05:22.978 --> 00:06:37.137
So, Lord, we just thank you, Lord, we praise you. You are a faithful God. You are a good God and a just God. We acknowledge who you are. We thank you for this whole week. We thank you that you have blessed us with such encouraging messages and verses to remind us of who you are. To remind us to stir up a heart and a spirit and a mind of gratitude, to remind us to keep our eyes on you, to think upon the good things and the things that are worthy of praise God and that we stay in a posture of thankfulness always. Lord, we pray over this weekend. I pray you cover us all. You keep this spirit of thankfulness in all of us. And Lord, let it not just stay between us. Let it not just stay between you and us. Let it go out into our relationships to the communities that we would share this heart of thankfulness and gratitude with everybody around us. We thank you for it all. We bless your name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
