You're listening to my morning devotional podcast, episode 1104. Today's Sivo is called seek his face. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and welcome back to another episode of my morning devotional. I just want to thank you for staying with us. I know this week has been a little bit different, but I want to thank you for going with it, rolling with it, and just trying something new. You know, just to recap, this week we've learned about God being our light and our salvation. We learned about God being our dwelling place and wanting to seek him. Yesterday we read a verse about saying, we're going to lift Jesus up, we're going to worship him, and he's going to be our everything. And every single one of those verses that we've read has built to something. And I hope that reading these verses and meditating them daily, they have given you a tool for each day, for you to learn and see who God is in your life and how much he loves you through these words. So if you haven't read the other verses, go ahead and read them. I promise you, you won't regret it. They are so powerful. But today we are going to focus on psalm 27, eight through ten.
00:01:38.695 --> 00:01:42.540
And they say, you have said, seek my face.
00:01:42.920 --> 00:01:49.992
My heart says to you, your face, Lord, do I seek. Hide not your face from me.
00:01:50.135 --> 00:03:50.370
Turn not your servant away in anger, o ye who have been my help, cast me not off. Forsake me not, o God of my salvation. For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in again. This is psalm 27 810. And I really hope that in this verse today you get to see the love of God. There is so much that God is trying to tell us just through this, but it's beautiful to know that this is also David almost having a conversation with the Lord. And while he's going through something, the Lord is speaking right back to him. And so I hope that today these words, you feel like the Lord is speaking directly to you, not me, not your parents, not even your own voice, but that these verses today, you feel them, that they're coming straight from the Lord to you, that you hear the Lord saying to you that he's taking you in, that you are not forsaken, that when he asks you to do something, you're like, lord, here I am. I'm here to seek you and to do your will. Whatever it is that you're speaking. I hope that this verses today just shows you that you can have a conversation with the Lord and that he can speak back to you. And I hope that they've given you tools to say, I can hear from the Lord today because he wants to speak to you. So grab these verses today and put them on repeat. Read them every 2 hours. Every 3 hours. However you want to apply this, maybe you open up your journal and you write these verses. And while you're writing these verses down, you also journal and talk to God. And you ask God questions and you tell God what's on your mind. And you then take a pause and you let the word of God speak over you.
00:03:50.789 --> 00:04:46.442
So before we end this episode, let's pray together. Dear Father God, thank you because you are a father who listens to his children. Thank you because even if we feel like we're alone right now, wherever we are at home in the car and we're sitting on our own, Father, we know that we're not alone. That you are right here with us. Your presence is real, Father. You are real, Father. And so I pray that today we get a confidence to speak to you because we know that you are listening, but that you are also speaking to us. And today you're speaking to us through your word. So we're going to take a take seriously. When we open up our Bible, we're gonna take it seriously and say, lord, I'm here to hear from you. Not to get more about me or about my situation, but we're here to hear from you. In Jesus name we pray.
00:04:46.586 --> 00:05:08.600
