00:00:04.584 --> 00:01:21.862
Today's Devo is called Sing and Shout. Hey there. We're the Alesses, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning everybody. Happy Wednesday. My name is Stephanie and we are continuing our series on searching the scriptures for gratitude. Any scripture that leads us back to gratitude and praising God. That is what we are reading. So open up your bible to Psalm 100. I'm reading from the NIV version and I wanted today to share with you guys something that I do when I read scripture that's very helpful in my prayer life. What I'll do is I will make it personal and I call it fill in the blank scripture reading where sometimes I'll take the Bible verse and I'll put my name in the lines. Sometimes I'll even put other person's names. If there's a scripture that's about growing in wisdom, growing in peace and joy.
00:01:21.998 --> 00:01:43.944
I'll even put some of my friends names in there. I'll put my husband's name in there, my sister's name in there. So that when I go into prayer, I read out those scriptures and I am declaring those Bible verses over my family and friends. Well, today we're going to make it personal. So Psalms 100.
00:01:44.094 --> 00:02:10.317
Let's do it. Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us and we are his, we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name for the Lord is good and his love endures forever.
00:02:10.461 --> 00:02:40.407
His faithfulness continues through all generations. Well, now we're going to read it again and I want you to put your name and say your name out loud as we read. Here we go. Shout for joy to the Lord. All of Stephanie. Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made me and I am His. I am his people.
00:02:40.591 --> 00:02:48.038
I am the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, Stephanie. And his courts with praise.
00:02:48.206 --> 00:03:06.974
Give thanks to him and praise his name for the Lord. Is good and his love endures forever. His faithfulness continues through all generations. God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for this opportunity to read your word and to pray with it.
00:03:07.014 --> 00:03:54.540
Father God, I pray that everybody here needing a reminder that God is the one whose love endures forever. God is the one whose faithfulness continues through all generations. I pray that we will be reminded of that truth, God, that no matter what we face, no matter what season we are in, no matter how old we are or how young we are, your love endures forever and your faithfulness continues, God, no matter what it is we're facing today, we praise you. We lift up your name with our voices, with our worship. We make you the center of all that we do. We remind our spirits, we remind our souls that your ways are higher, your ways are greater.
00:03:54.652 --> 00:04:01.745
And there is not one trouble that we face today that cannot be fixed. We need you in every situation.
00:04:02.155 --> 00:04:09.579
And we believe, and we have faith that you can fix any problem that we face. You are the peace provider.
00:04:09.667 --> 00:04:13.330
You are the peacemaker. You are the prince of peace.
00:04:13.483 --> 00:05:00.444
And we know that when you step into a situation, you can fix anything. So, God, we worship you. We exalt you. We glorify you. Anything that's distracting us from glorifying your name, we silence it right now so that we can praise you, the one whose love endures forever. And your faithfulness continues through all generations. And in Jesus name, we all pray. Amen. And amen. So there you have it, your 5 minute daily dose of heaven.
