You're listening to my morning devotional podcast, episode 1105. Today's Devo is called Take Courage. Hey there. We're the alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.
00:00:22.094 --> 00:01:47.370
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody, and welcome to the last episode of the week. We've made it. We're here, and we've been reading psalm 27. And today we get to finish the entire chapter of psalm 27. And I really hope that you guys liked what we did this week. But next week, my sister in law Stephanie will be sharing, and she has a beautiful theme that she's going to take you guys through and I know is going to bless you. So as we finish, just know that you have something to really look forward to next week with Stephanie. And if this week you've liked it, it blessed you. If you feel like it did something for you, share it with your friends, share it with your family. This week was all about you taking the word, meditating on it, but sharing with withdeze, with the people around you. So, as we finish today's chapter, how are you gonna share this chapter with somebody in your life? And also know that in our description, we have our text line. So we love to hear from you. Let us know what you thought of this week, or just let us know what this week did for you as you read the word of God. So let's get right into it. Today is psalm 27, verses eleven through 14.
00:01:47.670 --> 00:01:55.037
And it says, teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on the level path. Because of my enemies.
00:01:55.213 --> 00:02:25.110
Give me not up to the will of my adversaries, for false witness have risen against me and they breathe out violence. I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord. Be strong and let your heart take courage. Wait for the Lord. The title of today's devil was called take courage. And it was taken from this verse.
00:02:25.729 --> 00:02:29.385
Our entire week, the titles were inspired by the word.
00:02:29.538 --> 00:03:54.150
So if the titles. Just look at the titles and let that just alone tell you what this, what each episode was about. But today is all about taking courage as we wait for the Lord. And this verse tells you a little bit of it takes a turn there where it starts to tell you some deep things of what David at the time might be going through, but nonetheless he did not let any of those things shake him because he was going to take courage to wait on God. So how are you waiting on God today? What are some things that as we finish out this verse and you add everything else that we've read, how are you waiting on the Lord and taking courage? Because at the end of the day, this verse ended with wait on the Lord and take courage. We got to learn about dwelling with the Lord, about worshiping the Lord, being with him, about how he's our light and how he's our salvation. It's no coincidence that he started to talk about all the great things that God is. Because when it comes to our waiting part, we know how to wait. Because we know God is our light. We know God is our dwelling house. In times of need when we don't feel safe, God is there to protect us. We know that in the midst of all that we're going to lift him up. And we also know that as we're lifting him up, that's when we are seeking him.
00:03:54.189 --> 00:05:18.750
We're seeking his face and still just wanting to be with him. And we build to all of that to know no matter what, we're going to take courage and wait on the Lord. So guys, I hope that you liked the way we did it this week, but sit down today and read the entire chapter, all of psalm 27 from beginning to end and see how powerful this entire chapter is. And as I said, now meditate on that all day and talk to people about it because there's so much power when you gather with your, with your church family or just your family and you talk about the word of God. So let's pray. Dear Father God, we just want to thank you for an amazing week. We want to take thank you for your words, for everything that you have been teaching us and speaking to us about. Father, we recognize that your words are all the matter. And from this moment on, we are going to make a your word a priority in our life is going to be all we need. Not the words of other people, but your word. We are confident that we know how to read our Bible. We are going to open it and read it and pursue you. We are not going to get caught up in any distractions on the how tos because what this week proved to us is that you are here and you are ready to speak to us through your word. In Jesus name we pray.
00:05:18.879 --> 00:05:41.209
