Thankful For You

Thankful For You

How do you stay thankful during tough times?

In today's episode, we shared a touching devotional titled "Thankful for You." Our focus was on Ephesians 1:15-23, where Paul thanks the church for their faith and love. We drew inspiration from his words to extend our own gratitude to you, our dear listeners. We explore the importance of thankfulness, wisdom, and the immeasurable greatness of God's power.

Join us for a brief yet uplifting devotional to start your day with grace and joy. Let's remember to give all glory to God. Amen!

You're listening to the My Morning Devotional Podcast episode 1140. Today's Devo is called Thankful for you. Hey there. We're the Alesses, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.248 --> 00:01:06.582
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Happy Friday everyone. My name is Lauren Alessi and I have had the pleasure of hosting an awesome fun week. And I was going to say I'm really grateful for hosting this week because that's technically the theme of this whole week and this whole month as we approach Thanksgiving. But I really am. This week has been very, very special because, you know, we're human and sometimes gratefulness and finding Thanksgiving in the day to day things of our lives can be a little tough. But I would like to dedicate this podcast episode actually to you all listening. The verse for today

00:01:06.679 --> 00:01:17.510
15 through 23. And just some context here. This is actually Paul in the Bible when he's writing letters to several churches.

00:01:17.582 --> 00:01:39.456
And he takes time in his letters to actually thank the people in the church and thank them for all that they do. Thank them for all that they believe. So I just want to read this part in Ephesians, but as you're listening, I want you to genuinely receive because I am praying this and saying this over you, over all who listen. So let's begin reading Ephesians

00:01:39.521 --> 00:02:52.829
15 23, found in the ESV. For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts aligned, that you may know what is the hope of which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power towards us who believe according to the working of his great might, that he worked in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places? For above all rule and authority, and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, and not only in this age, but also in the one to come. Wow, that's amazing. But also in the one to Come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all the church which is his body and the fullness of him who fills all and all.

00:02:52.997 --> 00:03:37.544
To all of our family listening, to all of our community listening, I just thank you this morning. I thank you today for being a part of it. And please know this, I do not cease to give thanks to you and I do not forget you in our prayers. We do not forget you when we are putting together our verses. We think of you every time we do a podcast. We think of you every day. We think of you when it's time to come to God and bring this podcast to him. Because all the glory goes to God. So let's just take a minute to pray all together as a community and as a family. Dear God, we thank you so much for this platform. God, it is not ours, God. This podcast, this devotional, Lord. It is in your hands, God.

00:03:37.625 --> 00:03:52.209
And you deserve the glory, God. You deserve all the honor from it. But Lord, I just want to take a second, Lord, to thank every person who tunes into my morning devotional, God. Who wants to receive more from your word, God. Who wants to go deeper into your word, God.

00:03:52.296 --> 00:04:03.618
And Lord, I just pray in abundance of blessing over their lives, Lord. I pray for understanding and wisdom over their lives, God. That when they read the Word, it's not just reading, God, it's understanding.

00:04:03.706 --> 00:04:22.067
It's gaining more wisdom, it's getting more knowledge, the Lord. And it's only something you can do, Lord. It's not something me, Stephanie, Gabby or Rochelle can do, Lord. I pray that it's a knowledge, a wisdom, a discernment and an understanding, Lord, that only you can bring into each and every one of these listeners lives, Lord.

00:04:22.170 --> 00:04:25.824
And we give you all the thanks, all the honor and all the glory.

00:04:25.904 --> 00:04:41.064
In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend.
