You're listening to the my morning Devotional podcast, episode 1065. Today's Devo is called walking in his will. Hey there. We're the Alessis, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.493 --> 00:02:29.627
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the my morning Devotional podcast. Happy Friday, everybody. I hope you've had a wonderful week. Again, my name is Lauren and I've had an awesome time hosting this podcast for this week. Let us know what you think of the one on one hosting the podcast. Usually me and my sisters and family tag team and do two at a time diving into the word. But let us know what you think of each of us taking a week hosting individually, as we would always love your feedback. So let's dive in to the verse of the day, and this verse is found in deuteronomy 3016. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. I really love this verse because it's just one of those straightforward verses of if you do these things that God has asked of you, then you will walk in the land that God has promised you, and if you just abide by God's will, if you abide by God's word, everything God has promised you, you will see to pass. And I just really love when the word makes it so straightforward. And I don't know about you, I know we all have different preferences of what we like to read in the Bible, verses that stand out to us. But to me, I really love those principled verses of a plus b equals c. And I love seeing that in the bible of just like this, if you obey the commandments of the Lord that I command you today, love the Lord your God walking in his ways, keeping his commandments, his statues and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. And I just really love the principle of the gospel right there, that if we just obey the Lord, if we love him with all that we have, then we're going to walk into a promise that the Lord's already promised us. Because here's the thing. The battle's already won.

00:02:29.683 --> 00:02:33.475
God's already done it for us. We just have to obey his commandments.

00:02:33.548 --> 00:03:16.590
We just have to walk in his will. We just have to love him. We have to love the Lord our God. And we just have to walk in his ways. And we're going to walk into what God has for us. So I just pray that this perfectly encapsulates what we've been talking about this whole week, whether it's about having faith, whether it's about what is the will of God and walking in the will of God. I pray that this verse really just encapsulates everything we've talked about this entire week. And if you're still confused about a few things, I pray that you submit that to God. I know that there are things I still sort of struggle with when it comes to faith and even when I'm not faithful. How is God still faithful? I know that there are still things I have questions about and I just pray that you submit that to God.

00:03:16.629 --> 00:03:37.639
You pray about it, but you also dive into the word and try to find answers for it because all the questions we have there are answers for in the Bible. So I pray that you do that today. But I also pray that you understand this principle that when we love the Lord our God, and when we walk with him, and when we obey his commandments, God will bless us in the end. And through that we get to glorify him.

00:03:38.020 --> 00:04:22.315
So anyways, I hope you have an amazing, amazing weekend, but let us close out in an amazing prayer together. Dear Lord, thank you for your word. God, thank you that lord, it's easy to obey you and it's easy to obey your commandments. God, thank you that it's easy to love you, God, because you are faithful. We just thank you, Lord, that truly your word is more simple than we think. And again, Lord, I pray for everybody listening that may have questions that may struggle with some of the verses that they don't have full understanding over. God, I pray that they are able to submit that to you and go searching, Lord, I pray that you lead them to the right verses, God. But Lord, I just pray right now a blessing over the people listening, God, that one day they will be able to walk in the land that you promised them.

00:04:22.427 --> 00:04:36.160
I pray that for every person in this room right now, God, even as we are recording, I pray that even over my life, God, that we are able to walk in the land that you have promised us. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

00:04:37.220 --> 00:04:40.684
So there you have it. Your five minute daily dose of heaven.

00:04:40.812 --> 00:04:58.060
