Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of John 14:27 which says " Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
"So as I prepared for the week ahead of me, I came across this verse and I thought it was so fitting. I hope you can hold onto it. His peace is not the same kind of peace that we find in the world, which is soothing because it confirms His ways are higher. But he continues with “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.
Jesus is asking us over and over and over in the Bible to not be afraid. So if you are still a little sad from the events of 2020, and still a little worried about what the future will look like, remember that we have been given peace. We can live in peace. We don’t have to be afraid of the future. We know we live a life with Jesus, so let’s give all our worries to Him and let’s live for today.
Continue to work on your resolutions, continue to get alone and pray, but don’t forget to unplug after your work day and embrace your family. Play boardgames, make dinner, make memories."
