00:00:32.972 --> 00:00:39.851
And for those listening, I will be your host for the week. My name is Lauren Alessi and I am always just super stoked to be here.
00:00:39.956 --> 00:01:37.201
And this week we are talking about just newness as we step into a new year. And whether your year so far is going really, really good or really, really bad, or maybe right in the middle feels just like last year. I just pray that this is an encouragement to you that God gives you new vision. God gives you a new mindset as you step into the newness that God has for you in 2025. With that said, let's jump into today's verse of the day. I will actually be reading the verse that Allison read out for New Year's Eve. But I What I love about the Bible is that we can all read a verse from it and just take a different takeaway from it. And it's. It's funny. It's not just the Bible. It could be any book. We can listen to a song and have a different takeaway or read a book or have a different takeaway. And I just think that that's just so cool specifically about a Bible when it comes to our personal application. But I will be reading a little bit more from
00:01:37.305 --> 00:02:06.709
10 through 13 and it says this verse 10. For thus says the Lord. When 70 years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you, and I will fulfill to you my promise and bring you back to this place. Verse 11. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the lord. Plans for welfare and not for evil. Plans to give you a future and a hope. Verse 12. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you in verse 13.
00:02:07.409 --> 00:02:51.060
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I'm going to repeat verse 13 because this always stands out to me. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I named this episode with all your heart because we always focus on for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. And I really do pray and speak this over my life, over your life, over everyone's lives. Honestly, I have this hope and this courage for myself, but also for you going into this new year, that we hold on to the promise that God knows the plans that he has for us. Not plans for harm, not plans for evil, but plans of prosperity.
00:02:51.219 --> 00:02:55.012
Plans to give us a hope and a future. That's in the Word of God.
00:02:55.075 --> 00:04:09.187
So let's hold on to that promise. But let's also remember that two verses down, God says this, you will seek Me and you will find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. So let's just remember this, that if we seek, seek God with all of our heart, not just half heartedly seeking him, not just saying, oh, I'm just gonna, you know, quickly read the Bible because I'm just gonna check that off my to do list for the sake of I read my devotional today. No. When we seek God with all of our heart and all of his goodness and all of his might, because we really want to, that is when we find Him. And I just pray that that resonates with you today because I hope and pray for a newness in your life. I want new vision for you. I want new vision for me. I want new prosperity for you. I want new prosperity for me. And I just pray that together, even where it can be difficult, that we could seek the Lord with all of our heart, our soul and our mind. Let's pray this one out. Even though it was challenging, let's pray this out together. Dear God, I thank you so much for your word, God, because it could be so challenging and so sharpening at the same time. And God, we thank you that you know the plans that yout have for us. That's what yout Word says.
00:04:09.324 --> 00:04:40.569
And God, we just pray right now, Lord, that yout help us to hold on to that promise, God, but also to seek youk with all our heart, soul and mind. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it.
